Escalation League, Starting at 15pts. Thoughts?

Hey there,
I've been away from the game for a few months and decided to get back into it through a free escalation league at my LGS. The league starts at 15 points, then goes to 25, 35, and ends at 50pts. You don't have to bring the same 'caster each week, and your list doesn't have to build on itself. You're free to build a completely new list every single week.

Here's my question:
Being away from the game for a while, and not being that strong a player before this break, I only feel comfortable with a few 'casters. pKreoss is the guy I have the most practice with, and he's a solid choice. I've also played a bunch with Amon Ad Raza.

I have a decent collection, so I could build almost any force I want to. But, I don't want to struggle through spell lists, make play errors based on oversights or just plain getting the rules wrong. So, where do I start? What type of 15pt list should I take to get back into the flow of the game?

Here are my first thoughts:

15pt. pKreoss list:
pKreoss (+5)
Reckoner (-8)
min. Exemplar Errants (-5)
min. Choir (-2)
Gorman Di Wolfe (-2)
Nicia (-3)

15pt. Amon list:
Amon (+6)
Blessing of Vengeance (-7)
Dervish (-4)
Dervish (-4)
Vassal (-2)
min. Choir (-2)
Covenant (-2)


Those lists are my first impressions of things that might work. What are your thoughts? Feel free to tweak these lists or suggest your favorite 15pt. lists. I have pKreoss, Amon, the Harbinger, and Thrya as my 'casters.

Amon does not need BoV or the Covenant. He has zero need to an arc node 99% of the time and his feat can get you up from KD if needed. I would suggest adding a crusader and maybe dropping the Vassal for a devout with the other points dropped. I am becoming more and more of a fan of Amon lately, but I think the main reason people go wrong with him is the exclusion of heavies.

Vassal seems so strong in a 15pt. game, I'm surprised to see him on your list to drop. I was going back forth about adding a heavy, mostly based on the damage they can do in lists this small.
What about something like this:

If your not getting more jacks out of the mix, I would stick with the vassal and a wrack over eiryss. Remember that for escalation, you will get a good feel for your meta as you advance. Spending big points off the bat allows for more flexibility of low cost models as you move on. I would try to squeeze as much out of my battlegroup as possible at 15 so you do not have to think about it later. Also, if you drop eiryss off the bat I can garuntee that you will see more anti-eiryss models sooner than later.
