Default eSkarre 35prs - First Cryx List

    Hi everybody,

Ive been playing Farrow for 15 months now, they are my only force, and i fancy a warmachine army to compliment them. I really like the look of eSkarre and some of the new plastic crabjacks so cryx it is.

Ive come up with a 1st draft list for 35pts and i'd like some feedback before i purchase more of it.

    1 eSkarre +6

    1 Leviathan 9pts
    1 Deathripper 4pts
    1 Scavenger 4pts

    10 Satyxis raiders/UA 10pts
    1 Withershadow Combine 5pts
    1 Necrosurgeon/Stitchies 2pts

    1 Skarlock Thrall 2pts
    1 Satyxis Raider Captain 2pts
    1 Pistol Wraith 3pts

Tactics-wise, i was planning to ram the army down my op's throat as fast as possible, arcing backlash and black spot to either feedback the enemy caster to death, or on feat turn go for a cheeky scavenger kill - 3 focus for 2 3d6+11 hits on it

I own eskarre, leviathan, desercrator, malice and skarlock so far.

It looks pretty solid for an eSkarre list. Fast, deadly. I would take out the Scavenger though. It requires a lot of focus and Leviathan will claim that focus.
If you want a bonejack, Stalker might be a better option. 2 Bloat Thralls are also a great choice with black spot.

I would swap the Leviathan for Desecrator. Black spot will be good for this model too. Scavengers are my new fav but Maybe not this list. They work best if someone can either ghost walk them our beserk them. maybe drop the surgeon and add defiler.

I'd swap the Scavenger for a Stalker, and the Necrosurgeon for a Warwitch Siren. The Siren can fuel the Stalker for the first couple turns while Skarre is busy, then join the fray with her Spray or Seduction or even Shadow Bind a heavy. The Siren could perform the same duty for a Scavenger, of course, it's just that the Stalker has 2X control range for Focus allocation.

You actually don't need the WSC in there. That will save you 5 points. I mean you are paying 2 points to heal every round right? I assume you are cutting for your upkeeps. So What are the WSC doing for you? I try to keep them out of my eSkarre lists because with character restrictions they most likely are needed else where. Also Stalker over Scavenger. Though I see why you want the Scavenger. Feat turn no free strikes.

    Thanks for the advice guys!

I guess its either drop the surgeon for a siren, OR drop the wsc for something? Min bane thralls or mechanothralls perhaps?

I like what the stalker does, just the model looks awful! Is it better in the flesh?

    Cheers

That depends on what you think is wrong with it. I don't have any problems with it, you can pretty much pose it however you want.

I'd actually suggest getting another jack in there, maybe a Harrower since you like the crab jacks. If you do this, you could even consider going for the theme force.
Otherwise, Deathjack is amazing with her, being able to Perdition himself and all.

Drop the Skarlock, besides casting Deathward, I find very little use for him in my eSkarre lists...Offensive Skarlocks are usually dead Skarlocks...That, plus dropping the WSC will net you 7 points to play around with. I suggest another heavy, as with Seas of Fate, her spell list and her feat eSkarre runs a very scary heavy jack assassination quite effectively.
