Default 35 pts - Tournament Lists

    pButcher
    ^ Devastator
    ^ Devastator
    War dog
    Nyss Hunters (max)
    ^ Valachev
    Kayazy Assassins (Max)
    ^ Kayazy

    -----------------------

    Old Witch
    ^ Behemoth (13pts)
    Kayazy Assassins (Max)
    ^ Underboss
    Winter Guard Infantry (Max)
    ^ Officer & Standard
    ^ Joe
    eEiryss
    Gorman

I think this pairing could work very well if I am going for the scenerio victory. I like the twin Devastator combo under pButchers feat, plus they become pow 19 under fury which is nice. The old witch list is pretty self explanatory...

    Tell me what you think.

ha ha ha, I was editing it as you were posting that. Yeah that was a stupid oversight

I actually think this pairing is better

    Old Witch
    ^ Behemoth
    Kayazy Assassins (Max)
    ^ Underboss
    Nyss Hunters
    eEiryss
    Gorman

    ---------------------------

    eSorscha
    ^ Beast-09
    ^ Sylys Wyshnalyrr
    Great Bears
    Kayazy Assassins
    ^ Underboss
    Winter Guard Infantry (Max)

Yup I like both of those lists. What about you?
The 7Pt reserves for both lists are IFP with regular standard

    Yup, both seem solid

Good reinforcements too. I'm looking to pick up iron fangs as my next unit for that very job. Just getting the rest of my Vlad3 stuff bought though

    Good luck!

    Cheers,
    Dave

    Tossy,

I think you're lists are very solid from a unit choice perspective. You obviously have the right combinations of strong, good units and jacks that compose of some of the best of Khador.

The only change I would make would be to the eSorscha list. Kayazy with no pathfinder are really quite horrible since they charge like 4.5 inches to 6 inches in heavy terrain. Also, in your eSorscha list the Kayazy are the probable flankers since WG will be in the center. You really need Saxon Orrick in the list. Personally, I'd drop Great Bears (overkill particularly with your reserves) down for A&H and drop Beast down to a Spriggan to free up the other point. A&H with WGI synergize so well giving them +2 (POW 12 sprays or POW 16 two-man CRA's basically) and that should make up for Great Bears hitting power. Tournaments are weird sometimes with lots or little terrain so I'm not sure what your store does. The Old Witch list doesn't need Saxon because Kayazy will be your center unit with Nyss Flanking. You'll be able to drop Weald Secrets on Kayazy if you need.

The next step is matching lists with probable matchups in your meta. Also, you want your two lists to compliment each other and help you deal with very different matchups. For example, in my meta the Big Three are in no particular order Cryx, Legion, and Cygnar. I know I will be facing these lists quite heavily. What are the main factions in your meta?

Revision to the pIrusk list, I figure the magic weapons will make this a true anti-cryx list. i was actually considering dropping pIrusk all together, but damn it if he doesn't look good painted

    pIrusk
    ^ Spriggan
    Kayazy Assassins (max)
    ^ Underboss (2pts)
    Winter Guard Infantry (max)
    ^ Officer & Standard (2pts)
    ^ 3 x Rocketeers
    Joe
    Widowmakers
    Ayiana and Holt

Yesterday i play vs eDeny using Old With with WGIDS and max kayazy. After battle, where i win, kayazy go to the shelf. If you have WGIDS you need something else when kayazy. I think about Black Ivan or doomreavers/great bears. But Kayazy elluminators pretty cool
Da red jack charge fasta and hit harda!

He's saying that with the Old Witch, if you're already bringing the WGI Death Star, you probably shouldn't bring Kayazy Assassins as well (he played such a list against eDenny and won, but decided to shelve the Kayazy afterwards) - presumably because they have similar bad matchups and it's too much of the same (high DEF, fairly low ARM, single wound, decent but not quite great damage output against single, hard targets).

Personally I think the fact that they were combined in an Old Witch list is most of the problem here. Against lists with great infantry clearing, like pKrueger or Cygnar lists with high volumes of accurate fire that can ignore stealth, this combo will always have a difficult time but with the OW the added problem is that she can't buff damage output. She can't buff accuracy either, but both these modules are highly accurate on their own (good MAT + Gang for the Kayazy, Joe's speech for the WGI) so that's not a problem - against high ARM models with plenty of boxes (jack, beasts, the occasional Butcher-type caster) however they don't quite hit the level of expected damage you want. Doom Reavers and the Great Bears, but also the IFP, are better at that by one or two orders of magnitude. If you have a pIrusk with Battle Lust to give to the Kayazy it's not a big deal, but in an Old Witch list you can add Aiyana & Holt and that's about it for your options.
