I got mine today. Finished building it a couple minutes ago. ITS AWESOME!

Picked it up at store today, put together and have it 75% painted. I must say that I really like its look! I have the right hand up a little and in a position that makes it look like the Stormwall is taking a swing!

It is top heavy so handle with care when painting as I dropped mine within the first 30 seconds of grabbing it for paint!

This is the base spray coat so far:

Can't wait to see it when it is done! Hope everyone posts pics of their painted Stormwalls soon!
Did you have to pin the arms if so what did you use? Never had to pin a model before and not really sure on the technique.

Bought two. In the middle of chopping them up right now.

Also, to save having to start a new topic..

How's everyone planning on transporting your SWs?

Once mine arrives thats my plan. Got a bunch of card kicking around, line it foam from pick and pluck trays and good to go hopefully.

And stop posting all the pictures... Makes me jealous
But seriously, loving seeing the different poses.

Picked mine up yesterday and will start assembling today! Hope to have it done before work! Pics later!

Edit: can't post pics from iPhone, but it's done! And pretty sweet looking! This guy will definitely have presence on the battlefield! Also really surprised how easily it went together! Only used putty on the arms since they're so heavy fully assembled! For a mental image I went with SW opened armed kind of bracing to fire the Big Guns!

I have the legs and torso separate and will finish assembling it after I paint. I am looking forward to painting this amazing looking jack and smash some Khador with it. As for some concerns for transporting it I picked up the Battle Foam tray for the Stormwall. I also have a tray for my Storm Strider. Now if they made a bag that would hold the two large trays it would be nice.

I mentioned this in my article over at BoLS, but do yourselves a favor and do not build your Stormwall before painting it. You're asking for a world of annoyance if you try to paint that enormous model when it is fully-built. Remember painting Thunderhead when it was built, and how difficult that thing was to handle while painting? Well, multiply that by four.

    Paint it in pieces.

Got mine. I was up until 2 in the morning trying to remove mold lines. Mine needs a lot of TLC but it should come around soon and then perhaps pictures.

I have stormwall.... how many is not important right now. I plan to do the same thing with Stormwall as I did with the Spider Striders. Custom cut a tray at home for them so I can get more than just one per tray.
Most people say that what some people say is pretty stupid.

The Stormwall/Stormstrider foam is designed specifically to fit the Privateer Press BF bags. You should be able to put both together side by side.

This would be about a billion times more awesome if you painted him like Voltron

Think of the intimidation factor as you activate the interlocks before a tourney match!

    Let's go! Stormwall form!

I bought mine at L&L but aside from opening the box and admiring the bits I haven't done anything. I'm trying to have some dicipline and get some other projects finished before I play with the new toy.

One downside is that some of the plastic is different colors and it is a combo of metal and plastic. If you do not plan on painting then find a good base spray paint color = Blue and stick with that.

I had no issues at all with assembling and then painting it. To each his own

My brother got his in the mail today along with General Adept Nemo.
He isn't assembling it a while though nor his 70+pts of Cygnar (including a BE and Thunderhead) that is all unssambled (like 70% of it is Storm stuff, he slowing bought the models before Colossals). He is first painting his Legion and my Khador (both 50+pts, both with BE, and Khador army has Conquest on preorder). Great guy, he wants to do my stuff first as I'm handicapped and can't paint.

    All of the above.

I have mine primed and mounted for painting. I plan on building an epic base, akin to my first Storm Strider. Strider #2 is waiting for me to assemble it, with the models and parts needed for it's epic base as well.
Once I get the first Stormwall and second Strider done, I'll be getting myself Stormwall #2. It'll be awesome just playing with 5 models.

As far as transport goes; Battlefoam. I have the tray for my 'wall, and I had a custom one made to house my two Striders and a couple 'jacks a few months ago.

I was considering painting it in pieces, but it weighs less than an Extremoth, and everything is very accessible with a brush. I just mounted it on a bunch of wine corks glued together, and have a big piece of foam to rest it on whilst painting.

Mine might arrive today or Friday. But I won't be home till Saturday.

As to transport, I'm thinking a child's car sat should be about right.

Mine is onsite and cleaned with all the assembly done that will be prior to the painting. I don't normally paint a model that is not fully assembled but given the size and the amount of work I want to do on it several parts where left off to aid in the process.

Told myself I'd hold off on a Stormwall 'till next month, a resolution that held for an impressive two-and-a-half seconds after my LGS owner called to tell me he had one in.

Absolutely gorgeous kit, well-cast and shockingly easy to put together. There was some real love and engineering put into the big guy. Painting soon!
