Opened the Stormwall last night and.... missing parts

Did anyone else have a problem with their Stormwall missing parts? I opened mine last night and the first thing I noticed is that it was missing all three of the bases for the Lightning Pods. I haven't had a chance to put it together to see if all the other parts are there, but this is a little disappointing.

I was missing a part off of the actual stormwall, you lucked out

One of my friends got his last night (another friend and I delivered it since he was sick even!) and when he opened it up it was missing three pieces I believe. The two shoulders and one large storm coil. Hopefully he gets those quickly.

How do you tell what is happening with your ticket, in the part replacement portal? It just says submitted. I assume I will get an email at some point or it will say something else? I am guessing it is busy over there right now with summer and all. Oo

It goes through stages. Submitted is first, then it gets modified, then processing and finally shipped/completed.

Mine made it complete so I guess that makes me a lucky one.

Thing that really sticks out after painting the Stryder is how much more surface area this thing seems to have. To be honest it is a little daunting when it comes to painting.

After a quick build and about an hour of clean up, i am not short any peices, but did indeed end up with an extra left thigh. Anyone missing one?

i should also say i have the seperate metal feet version.

Last week was right after Lock and Load. PP isn't a huge company so it's possible that your ticket was at the tail end of a backlog caused by the convention.

Not excusing it, just saying that there might be a reason for the delay.

seems they rushed boxing this dude up and getting him sent out. hope it doesnt take too long for you guys to get your parts. ive done tickets for missing things and average wait for me was about a month. >.>

I manage a pair of FLGSs in MA. Of the 5 Stormwalls I saw opened at the store last night, one of them came complete with all of the parts intact, one of them came with all of the parts but the torso had weird holes in it, one of them was missing part of a leg, and TWO of them were missing THE ENTIRE TORSO.

Seriously... How on earth does a piece the size of a baseball get completely left out of the box?

Customers come to the store, shell out $135.00 and either have to wait (hope) PP replaces them or hope that the two largest distributors in the country aren't out of them Monday morning so I can try to get them replaced. Unbelievable.

I to picked up my stormwall last night. This is the first PP model I have picked up in near 6 months. I started building it then I realized that the entire torso was missing. This is a real moral breaker, with all the money I paid for this and to have such a piece missing just killed it. I thought that the stormwall would get me back in warmachine. But it seems like it just pushed me further away.

I'm sure they feel the same, though, and I hope they move quickly to address our issues (mine being I'm missing both lower arm pieces). I have been told by my FLGS owner that these are sold out at the distributor level, so I'm hoping that it doesn't mean I won't see my resin arm pieces for several weeks... that would really be sad.

I feel the same way, I love the game and I love the idea of this model. I took a break from the game and picked it back up with this guy, but now the game I have coming this week I more than likely wont be playing, I really don't like the idea of playing with a pair of legs on a giant base.

I hope I hear back from them soon about this.

My friend picked up the Stormwall yesterday and he was missing the body! It's one thing if a small piece is missing but the body takes up half the box. If I wasn't there to see the shrinkwrap come off and the box opened I probably wouldn't have believed it. I hope they get the bugs out before the next one ships...

Just to clear some confusion about the Replacement Portal, the only email sent to the player is a confirmation email with the ticket number for the request. Sometimes we send emails asking questions to make sure we sent the correct part.

I have been looking forward to the Stormwall since they announced it. What was going to be an automatic purchase has turned into a 'wait and see' purchase due to the problems I've been seeing with the quality control. I would expect the premium price of the Colossals would come with some sort of assurance that when you open the box, you get what you've paid for. I understand they wanted to get these things to market, but it was an self imposed release date. I still like PP's products, but I think it's a shame they allowed such poor quality control with this release.

Mine had two right thighs, and no left thigh. It was pretty disappointing actually, I scanned through the box when I first opened it, saw that it had the right number of parts, but neglected to check that the legs were both right + left. Didn't realize until last night that it was missing.

Pretty crestfallen that I have this mega-awesome giant robot that's only half-built until I receive a replacement part.

I'd be reluctant to shell out that kind of money on something, only to have to wait until replacement parts arrive. Even if PP is great about sending out missing parts, it shouldn't have to happen with such regularity.

In each package, there should be a little Quality Control tag with a number, indicating who packed it or inspected the packing. I'm wondering if those with missing parts happen to all have the same QC inspection number...

I think its just one of those you only hear the bad. Mine has some bad flash on one of the resin pieces but nothing to get a new piece over. We have a group of them at our store and there wasn't a single issue with any of them.

I've a suspicion however that not everyone that picked one up with missing or bad parts posts regularly to these forums, or openly complains... Or that this is a developing issue that we may hear more about as the model has only been on sale for about a week to the general public.

It was similar last year when a group of the Battle Engines went on sale. Especially the Storm Striders with the resin gantry walk ways. I think it was mostly due to the fact that they were previously unreleased and then a big batch kinda flooded so the people who did have messed up ones said something. Most other releases we don't hear much about.

I don't think that's entirely it, I'm certain that other new releases are missing parts as well, but you're going to receive a measurably less degree of frustration in missing a nemo3 arm than say, an integral part to a $135 colossal model.

I think people are much more inclined to be upset by missing parts on their colossals than on your average mispack. I should know, I didn't bat an eyelash when I had two left legs on a metal Nomad a few weeks ago, but it feels like someone ruined Christmas when I can't piece together my Stormwall.

That said, I don't think the current level of complaints is just the first batch of players with issues being vocal. I suspect that with the complexity of the Stormwall model, and the number of individual parts, there are bound to be issues (and issues that we haven't heard the last of). I have a lot of faith in PP customer support, but not very much in their QA for packaging.

And the Stormstrider issue is somewhat unrelated, sure the gantry was bad on the first batch (I know, I had one), but I don't remember hearing of this many incidents of missing parts.

Naturally so. But still, even if the issues we hear of are the only ones, several people have had them. Once in a while is a mistake, several in the same span of time is a trend.
It would help if PP can isolate the cause and rectify it, because this sort of thing is bad for consumer confidence.

I have purchased a large number of PP minis form 5 different factions and to date have only had a problem 3 times. Generally PP is good with packaging and when there has been and error they have been very efficient at fixing it. I think the only time you hear something is the rare instance when there is an issue.

So Thanks PP for every time I open a package and everything is right.
