The resculpts you'd like - that will never, EVER happen.

Everyone must have one in their chosen faction. No mini range from PP is perfect. Each line contains some absolutely wonderful stuff but then so many missed opportunities ranging from the bland to the outright dire. PP is slowly working through the worst. We have a new Ashlynn. If it wasn't completely clear she looked like a complete mingmong before then it is now, the new sculpt is beautiful. Everything the model should be.

However, many models are simply not popular/important enough to warrant a resculpt so there are things which we all have to live with.

PP is a nice company though and they do read the things we say so I wondered, in a purely fantasy sense, what are the things you would like to see redone, even though you know they probably never will be.

My chosen poison is Talion and here are the things which given a magic wand I would like to see:

First Mate Hawk: All of the Talion solos are IMO fantastic. Characterful and each very close to their art. But poor Hawk... She could look like a dynamic swordswoman poised to kill, full of menace and barely contained lethality. Instead she's... bland. So very very bland. What happened?

Shae: Yeah, Shae. Many don't like the Fiona sculpt but I think it's OK. This guy is the boss of the Talion Charter. Maybe Montador has the cash and the letter of Marque, but Shae has the cool and his model, again is so bland and actually technically poor (see the lack of undercut around one of his legs where it goes into the jacket. A problem worked around beautifully on the Montador model (which is a far more detailed and characterful sculpt). The art for Shae is fantastic, especially the pencil drawings in the first NQ to feature the Talion... The model we got is like a drop out from Adam and the Ants.

Alternate Riflemen: You can have three per unit of Sea Dogs and so we have three that look... the same. There's nothing wrong with the model itself, it does the job. But there's only one and it looks pretty difficult to convert.

So, if you could see anything, anything dammit, for your faction redone, in a world of dreams, what would it be?

There are many solos people like to use multiples of and part of the problem is the models in many cases are so characterful and nice, only for it to suck when you have to use 2. I love the Reeve Hunter. I'd love him having a twin, identically posed brother less so.

I actually like the B13 models so much that I would prefer to see PP resculpt EVERYTHING in their range to match them. Not the other way round.

I'd also like to n+1 the suggestion for more alt sculpts for solos, although I'm gonna ask for Arcanists and the Forsaken (I don't play Legion, I just don't like the sculpt )

Things i would personally like resulpted:
Anatasia Di Bray: I don't think the model is dynamic at all, especially when compared to new artwork.
Zerkova: If anyone needs a less dynamic pose, its her...also she has a horse face.
MoW Kovnik: I hate the leaning position he is in, and he is not as poseable as other right out of the package. Privateer knocked it out of the park with the mechanic UA and I think they could modify the kovnik so I don't have to.
Behemoth: I think Privateer missed an opportunity when they re-did the parts for the Behmoth and released the metal/resi kit. This guy looks almost nothing like the art, and is scaled imporperly.
Kodiak: KODIAK UPGRADE KIT PLEASE.

pVlad, although I doubt he's a lost cause in that regard. Casters are valued enough to warrant a resculpt eventually.

Not so sure the Behemoth will ever get a resculpt though and the morris dance pose (not to mention looking a like a moderately tall pygmy next to a Konquest) doesn't exactly speak to me...

Terminus:Not so much cause the model is bad looking, but I would like to have him cast in resin, especially the wings. Also get rid of the seperate spiky bit for the wings as well. Make the model easier to assemble and such.

PVlad definitely needs it. Others such as Nemo, Victoria and Asphixious were massively upgraded by new sculpts. But as you say it's not a lost cause. The horse mounted version of him proves there is plenty of potential.

Deathjack. The ridiculous paddle hands and the absurd proportions do NOT radiate terror and power. I appreciate that absurd proportions can emphasise power and stature, but they got it all wrong with the Deathjack.

The Kraken. I've said it before and I'll say it again, it looks like a baseball with a pencil stuck in it. They really missed an opportunity here.

Wow, I think the Kraken is definitely in the fantasy list. A resculpt of something unreleased. I know it's not everyones cup of tea but I really like it. It's weird.

For Cygnar, I'd like to see the Black 13th remade to be slightly larger, but otherwise keep their sculpts. :P

For Circle, I'd like a better Ghettorix.

I love DJ and really like the Kraken, we have so many other models in our faction that look much worse. Those are the last things I want to see redone personally. My wish is for these:

For Cygnar, I'd like to see the Black 13th remade to be slightly larger, but otherwise keep their sculpts. :P

I think they can make the sculpts a lot more interesting and should use it as an opportunity to create something really unique and dynamic.

Narn - not a particularly bad sculpt, but I think it's starting to show its age (it's from the IKRPG line and so predates Warmachine). I also think a much more dynamic pose would suit him better.

Kaelyssa - again, not a bad sculpt, but her pose in her art is so much cooler. I've always wanted to have her in a pose closer to that art, but the current model makes that very difficult (one of the prime reasons is her gun being melded with the cloak, so you'd have to resculpt half of the gun from scratch).

Other than that, I, too, support the suggestion of more female alternate sculpts for popular FA:2 solos!

pIrusk: He was already resculpted but the new one is posed worse than the classic. A pIrusk with the original pose and the detail of the alt. sculpt would be ideal.

Galleon's legs: Yea, just the legs. There is basically no hope of this happening with it already being far into the model design process. The odds of a colossal resculpt are nearly 0 within the next 10 years.

Come on! Every WM faction has those, EVEN WHEN THE FA IS 1... and Scyrah got two sculpts for the Assasin as soon as it came out.

The Avatar is first on my list. It is on the table so much and it needs so much conversion work to make it look good.

I absolutely hate the Choir leader. It's the helmet/cone thing he has going on that bugs me so much.

As for my Gators, it has to be the Wrastler. The pose is really awkward and we all know the complaint about it's "pectorals".


I am happy about the Alternate Paladin sculpt we have though and I am 100% behind the idea of having alternates of solos and attachments that usually hit the table in pairs.

I don't know if these will happen or not...but all of the old-style Nyss models. Nyss Hunters, Legion swordsmen, archers, striders, etc. Everything with either the super chin or the huge face that are horribly ugly, while all newer nyss models look more normal.

Harby and the Avatar. I would love to see these two resculpted. Harby, while a very dynamic sculpt, apparently in comparison to every other caster that was put out at the time before her release. Still, I have never cared for the three bearers, but that's probably just me. I would love to see a Harby resculpt more in the vein of eHaley or like this.

As for the Avatar, he's just so stumpy. He just needs a good all around face lift.

Think fluff. All those separate houses, developing their own styles, and since it's practically immortal now, Guardians come from vastly diverse eras, some made last week, some made a millenium ago... and a soul of the Skorne encased in a Guardian is an extremely deserving one, worthy of lots of personalization.

Still think that any two Guardians look the same?

Thing is though, is the Kraken does look just like it does in the artwork. I think people are confusing resculpt and redesign when it comes to the Kraken. Or where you inspired by the art and let down by the execution?
