I like Shrouds the most so far. I love the battle damage that the studio model had, and I love how Shroud did similar effects.

These are amazing models guys, be proud.

I was wondering if anyone has done or plans to do anything special for the basing on the lightning pods?

When my only friend who plays saw the lightning pods when I opened my Stormwall, and after I explained to them how they work, he felt like the coolest way to base them would be to put them in the center of a small crater (to go along with the flavor of how they get lobbed out).

I haven't decided if it would be better to make it look like a direct impact crater (as if it fell from a height, almost straight down after being lobbed high into the air in an arc), or an angled impact crater (as if it were shot directly from the Stormwall to the location it gets placed).

Either way, has anyone else done this? If so, I'd like to see it. If not, does it inspire anyone on their upcoming basing? Any other cool things anyone has done with the pods?

OK, I'll toss mine up here too.

Stormwall #2 is a work in progress right now, but I hope to have it finished in a couple of weeks.

Now that I've got both of these bad boys done, I thought I'd resurrect this thread.

Here is my Stormwall. Any CC is welcome especially around the glowing bits (I just started painting at the end of March). I apologize that my camera is not the greatest.

The shoulder, actually... He's punching him so hard it's knocking the Juggernaut back and tearing its shoulder armor plate right off.

Holy jeebus. That is probably the cleanest, crispest paint job I've seen on a Stormwall yet DieselDM. I really like your base too. It definitely says "I'm traipsing through a war zone" without going over the top.

Wow, that last one is amazing! I think DieselDM perfectly captured the concept of a "really big Thunderhead" perfectly. The solid, uncomplicated basing goes a long way, too.

Nice base, though that right foot looks a bit cumbersome, not really planted on anything.

These are just great, guys. I especially like the 'Basher' one with no arms.

Has anyone modelled one kicking a jack like a football? What's that Khador jack that looks like a wrecking ball?

I still want to see if anyone did anything interesting with their Pods. Especially if they made a crater-shaped base.

I have plans for pods but they are not the easiest to do anything with. Waiting on parts for mods gets tiresome.

If you mod it up so that he's got half of a Cryx light in one hand, and the other half in the other hand, with gears and hoses hanging out of both ends, that would be pretty awesome.

NIcely done all, but personally, I am findings those with a good dose of white are my favorites in general (though the school bus yellow is ok). A beast this big seems to benefit from lighter colors,

.....and I'm sad to say it,.....

but this guy really can be 'too blue'

Some people need a weekly dose of vitamin D6 to "stay sane." Me, I just need a taste of paint and I'm good.

I actually don't like the white. I prefer the ones with more metal colors, no white, and dark blues. I think skittles' Stormwall has my favorite color scheme so far; though I'm not sure how I feel about two different shades of blue.
