    Default 35pt B&B, not sure on the amount of infantry she wants to run!

    I got my hands on B&B and what to give her a try in the near future...

    I'm a bit clueless when it comes to B&B, esp. at that "low" point level. At a first glance she screams for infantry, esp. those with magical abilities and none of the locks I've played so far tends to run those. Except maybe for eVayl, unless of course you prefer cheap legios to complement the vessel you need to pick with her tier list.

    Here are my thoughts so far:

    - I would like to give the Shard a try, esp. since they can buff the hex hunters to "RAT8"+3d6 Pow15+3d6 on feat turn while rolling 7+3d6 for hit themselves. On the other hand 5 points are a big chunk if you can only spend 35+3 points.
    - Hex hunters are kind of mandatory, but what about Bayal? With eVayl I skipped more often than not while running hex hunters. But with B&B he has 2 chances to kill s.th in melee and then throw out a fully boosted Spray8".
    - SR restrictions don't bother me, but I'm not that sure I've want to run Typhon with her. While combining 3 sprays with cont-corrosion sounds fun, B&B doesn't have a spell to buff his mediocre RAT. He's also pretty expensive...
    - Running 2 heavies on top of Belphegor cuts drastically into the amount of points one can spend on stuff like hex hunters, shard or striders. On the other hand just running a single heavy and lesser warbeast can get nasty if the enemy manages to kill of the single heavy. Not to mention that it pretty much dictates how you want to play that single beast, hence which kind of beast you're buying.

    Points: 35/35
    Bethayne & Belphagor (*3pts)
    * Angelius (9pts)
    * Scythean (9pts)
    Blighted Nyss Hex Hunters (Leader and 9 Grunts) (8pts)
    Blighted Nyss Striders (Leader and 5 Grunts) (6pts)
    * Blighted Nyss Striders Officer & Musician (3pts)
    1 Spell Martyr (1pts)
    Strider Deathstalker (2pts)

    That would be my first try...or rather my second, but I scrapped the one that ran both striders, hunters and the BFS.

    I could drop the Deathstalker for either a shredder or upgrade one of the heavies and maybe add another martyr or a shepherd for fury management/healing. Not sure how much loosing the 2" move would hurt the striders.

    Or I could swap the whole striders for either bayal+BFS+martyr/shepherd/ravagore upgrade or second stalker+BFS+shredder/carni upgrade. Swapping the striders for the BFS would give me a small feat-turn buff, but I would lose some ranged ability and a good target for blood thorn.

    Feel free to comment on both my thoughts and the lists. I own pretty everything from the legion range (except for ogruns and gators...oh and no archers&grotesques either).

    Cheers

    I would not run Bethayne without 3 spellmartyrs. At 35 pts i don't think the best choice is to have both striders and hex hunters, and hexhuters are a must.

    And i don't understand why you would want an Angel with her, with only 2 heavies you will need some scraping power, especially now whit collosals on the horizon.

    And Blood Thorn is one of those spells i mostly ignore. Sure its great sometimes but you wont have fury to upkeep it. On your feat turn you want to upkeep ashen veil, stand somewhere far far back and cast 2 spells that cost 3 each. And ashen veiled hexhunters>blood thorned striders any day And when succubus comes i would rather have 1 fury to transfer then upkeep both
    On non feat turns you can just cast it once again :P but its not a spell i plan around when i make a list is what i try to say

    And the first rule in a legion list building is that you need a damn good reason to not bring a shredder.

    So i would dump the striders, bring 2 spell martyrs more, a shredder and the choice comes between BFS or bayal. I would probably pick BFS, but with bayal you can get stuff like swamp gobbos and a shepherd.

    a pot would be another option over bayal as well as your running alot of infantry and the pot can benefit well from that and would allow you to get more shredders to the feild i posted a b&b tier list a while back and got no responces so i'm either good at list building or really crappy

    The list below is what I favor for Beth at 35. Its pretty flexible and fares well against most things except magic hate (duh) and serious focus campers. At first glance you'd think it couldn't handle armor, but massed boosted pow 15's can wreck stuff quick. You can also Gallows out a heavy, Ice Cage+Kiss it, then have a Ravagore handle it. When HH and Bayal first hit I would always bring Bayal; game after game he died to drifting AoE's and I decided that him being one of the most (if not most) fragile 3pt models in the game meant he stayed in the foam and I have not regretted it.

    Bethayne & Belphagor (*3pts)
    * Shredder (2pts)
    * Ravagore (10pts)
    * Ravagore (10pts)
    Blackfrost Shard (5pts)
    Blighted Nyss Hex Hunters (Leader and 9 Grunts) (8pts)
    Blighted Nyss Shepherd (1pts)
    2 Spell Martyrs (2pts)
