I have started to get in the habit of making lists the the guys at my FLGS tend to look down on because I am trying to use units that are considered bad (venator slingers) or using casters in a non-traditional way (example below). I believe eMorghoul with his flashing blade and blinding fan is still a warlock who can be delivered by an army and make the assassination happen himself. Therefore, the goal of this list is to deliver eMorghoul to the enemy. I am trying this with a brick list, with the idea that Morghoul can sit behind the brick, next to the Krea and Brute until he gets in range to charge, flashing blade and get the kill. The rest of the army is there to take the initial charge. I know he is usually played as a highly mobile caster, but I am wondering why a brick can't deliver him equally well. Anyways, enough intro ... here's the idea:
eMorghoul (+6)
*Archidon (7)
*Basilisk Krea (4)
*Cyclops Brute (5)
*Titan Gladiator (8)
6 Cataphract Cetrati (11)
*Tyrant Vorkesh (3)
Hakaar the Destroyer (4)
10 Nihilators (8)
4 Paingiver Beast Handlers (2)
Swamp Gobbers Bellows Crew (1)
Tyrant Commander & Standard Bearer (3)
So, the idea is the the Nihilators can be a tarpit unit, while Hakaar collects souls. The Tyrant Commander can speed up the Cetrati a bit. Since Morghoul doesn't really have a buff for troops (maybe silence of death, but that's situational), the Cetrati can take Vorkesh without really losing any benefits. If you feel like something is in Morghoul's attack range, he can always use the Archidon's animus to strike, kill, and sprint away. Anyways, I'm just wondering if people look at this and think it's even remotely interesting (my own thought) or if it doesn't really work with what eMorghoul wants to do and I should scrap the list. Thoughts?
