Default Privateer Press List constructor for iPhone and iPad?

Several questions regarding the Privateer Press army builder for iPhone and iPad (iOS):

    1. When will your iOS army builder be released finally? Did you submit it already?
    2. Will your iOS army builder be an universal app for iPhone and iPad?
    3. Will your iOS army builder sync between devices? E.g. iPhone and iPad?
    4. Will your iOS army builder support the retina display of the iPad?

Since iBodger doesn't seem to offer support anymore, I'm really looking forward to see your app go live on Apple's App Store.

UPDATE, with the answers from PP's FAQ and press release:

    1. Seems to be 9th of July (see below)
    2. Yes, http://privateerpress.com/war-room/w...s-war-room-faq
    3. Yes, http://privateerpress.com/war-room/w...s-war-room-faq
    4. Seems so, http://privateerpress.com/war-room-r...ved-to-mid-may

    Thanks for your help!

Wondering why the word "builder" shows up as "constructor"?

Funny. Now it shows up as "creator"? Is there something wrong with the word "b u i l d e r"?

Wolf Lair own the rights to the name army b u i lder.. So that Is why it is censored.... Warroom should be released the 9th of July. I belive pp has posted a faq that answers all your questions.

Oh, how I hate these rights problems. - How can "army b.uilder" deserve protection at all? It's so generic?

Is 9th of July confirmed? It than has to be submitted to the app store already, hasn't it? Hoping someone of PP will answer...

    1. As mentioned, this was due for release in May; but due to other issues it is now due for 9th July.
    2. I believe, given one of the delays was due to the release of iPad3; that this will be compatible with both iDevices.
    3. If that is part of an iDevice, then the answer is yes; I don't see how that is a software issue. Surely that would be built into iOS, not War Room.
    4. *Shakes head, wondering why you need retina display in the first place* I'll leave that one to the techies, beyond me what you would need that for in anything.
The problem isn't that Cryx are broken; it's that you can't fix us.

    1. Hopefully this will come true as I don't think that iBodger will update to the latest Colossal rules.
    2. "Universal" isn't about compatibility. The question is: Will there be one app for both devices or will we have to buy 2 apps?
    3. It is indeed a software issue: To sync your army lists between devices there needs to be a software-sided option for WLAN-sync or even a PP-server or a different server-side-solution.
    4. No priority, just curiosity. Would be nice to have high-resolution images.

As outlined, the FAQ answers many questions.
The app is free. Faction decks need to be paid for, once paid for, they are available across all your devices (including cross platform).
There is a server application on the back end that takes care of syncs for games. IE if one device goes flat, you can continue from another

    Thanks, found it finally: http://privateerpress.com/war-room/w...s-war-room-faq

But except of #2 all other questions remain open...

Especially #3 isn't answered: According to the FAQ in-app purchases (the decks) will be synced via the iTunes Store and multiplayer games will use WLAN. I couldn't find a word regarding the sync of your built armies there. Anyone else?

Not being able to sync is/was the biggest downside of iBodger. PP writes: "The only time you need to be online is to update content or play multiplayer. All other functionality works locally with the latest updated data on the device." That doesn't sound good to me as it's missing the sync functionality. Hopefully "updating content" includes your own content.

    1. As far as we are all aware and subject to change at last minute, the release date is July 9th. I think this is probably not going to change as it was quite a jump from the previous "Mid May" statement
    Source: http://privateerpress.com/anticipate...-july-9th-2012
    2. Universal app for both devices. Though it wouldn't matter too much as the app itself is free. Just the decks cost money.
    3. From the FAQ:
Will I be able to access army lists I create on one device from a different device?
Yes. All your user data, including army lists, will sync to your account regardless of which device you use to create that data.

    4. Yes. This is the apparent reason for one of the most recent pushbacks. As outlined http://privateerpress.com/war-room-r...ved-to-mid-may

Hopefully we get some more info soon. It has been affecting my purchasing of items. Keep putting off buying a Cygnar faction deck, though I had to cave and buy a Merc one.

Great, thank you! Skipped that part.

I'm really hoping for the collection manager at a later date. I don't think iBodger will leave my device until its either hideously outdated, or War Room has all the same features.

Yeah, I'm not getting rid of iBodger for a while, the fact that the official list creator won't check Tier requirements as you're building baffles me. :/

Read the FAQ's. They're there for a reason. Not trying to be an @$$ but so many threads start up without people looking first. The forum search option actually works decently well.

I think it already is outdated (Colossal): it's not on the app store anymore and the Twitter account says "was".

    Really? Can't believe it.

I'm sorry. I searched for "army b.uilder" here and via Google (including Warmachine and Hordes there): You simply get nowhere, especially not to the links I've now added to my starting post.

I think PP is basically intending for the app to be a one-off development effort, they didn't want to have to go back to them for modifications every time they released a new theme list. iBodger's theme list support required Whicken to release a new version every time a new theme list came out. It wasn't a big deal for him because he's the guy who wrote it, but PP doesn't have any programmers on their staff nor the desire to retain one long term.
