    Default Rorsh and Mercs

I see lots of people using him with Wrong Eye in MacBain lists, but ive never heard of him with anybody else. I want to buy him for MacBain but i was wondering if anybody uses the Piggy duo with any other warcaster?

The Lesser Warlocks all suffer from being kind of pricy $ wise. So less people are going to experiment with them or suggest them in mercs.

That said they do have some fun stuff they can do and cool synergies. Do you realize Rorsh and Brine can be used in Highborn? Ashlynn makes everyone better! Fiona the Black can utilize Brine as a very mobile arc node. There's also a trick where if Rorsh ADs and you position right you trigger Souie! first turn. Effectively giving Brine advance move.

and sadly my brain isn't working so I can't think of any other specific synergy. I know they are pretty cool in and of themselves. Just very mobile.

They can also dish out some blast damage (Diversionary or Dynomite) so they should probably be happy for Durgen's Bombs Away.
Also they have nice movement tricks (including Rough Terrain) so I would say that also fits well with Inhospitable.

I have used them in Mad Hammer, McBaine, Carver and Menoth lists. It's nice to have a heavy controlled by someone other than your caster, and they are just all around fun to play. Their movement sananigains are awesome and after reading the fluff it really sets me in the right mindset on how to play dirty with them.

My vote is they are worth picking up if they work for more than one of your casters... Unlike Burn and Lug who can only work in 4 lists ( soon to be 5) but I still play them anyways.

R&B have that most useful of tools - nonlinear threat vector.
In English - they don't have to charge in a straight line from where they ended last turn. This makes them unpredictable. This is good - for you.

Also, drop a sniper on him for 1 pt on turn 1 and enjoy freebies all game.. If Rorsh was fury 4 they'd be amazing instead of merely very good. Big ol toolbox of dynamite, doglegs and power attacks.. Also I wish there were better utility animi in light Farrow beasts but give it time..

throw in a bokur to keep that lesser warlock alive, and you will be able to bring a body guard that can double-team with the big piggybeast. just a thought.

Just as an FYI. I'm fairly sure the Warbeasts controlled by all Lesser Warlocks remain "Minions" so faction buffs will not work on them. Although all Lesser Warlocks are Mercenary Minions so they are faction.

Mercenary Minions so the heavies are good too (just checked snapjaw's card).

Ah so is it just say Snapjaw and other beasts you add to the battlegroup that get screwed? Interesting.

The Lesser Warlock and their included Warbeast are Minion Mercenary models as noted on their cards. Anything else that is added to their battlegroup will NOT be a Mercenary.

Yes so Wronge eye can cast spiny gowth on merc models and the bull snapper can only cast it within the battlegroup

I like Rorsh and Brine with rhulic casters, especially Durgen Madhammer very much. Brine is lightning fast and can usually throw stuff without even being forced, but he can't deal with high armor, while Rhulic jacks can smash anything they can get close too, but are often outthreated, even when redlined.

Brine can diversionary tactic himself from 10,5" away towards an unsuspecting enemy heavy and 2-h-throw it 6" towards Durgen's Battlegroup, which should easily be able to take care of whatever comes flying their way. Even if Brine is snuffed in retaliation, it is usually a fair trade, as Rorsh on his own is easily the equivalent of a 3 points solo. Consider bringing Doc Killingsworth for his healer ability, so Rorsh can go all emo to power himself after Brine's demise.

Played them with Magnus once, put snipe on Rorsh and gave up movement, two 14" pig iron shots and a 10" aoe 4 dynamite all pow 12 all boosted at effective Rat 7 after that had a whole new outlook on Rorsh. Still love them more up against warbeasts Brine eats warbeasts for breakfast ,bones and all!

I really love Brine with Madhammer and MacBain now. Against Hordes he can be pretty good at smashing big things with his animus up, and against Warmachine he makes for a very effective Slammer.

I always compare rorsh & brine to thor & basher. Diversionary tactics is kinda like Flak Field and Pronto put together. Both get free slams (Brines slams require rorsh to hit or Brine to be damaged). But two things that seperate them....Rorsh lasts longer than Thor, and Brine hurts more than the Basher.

So what yer saying is take Madhammer, add Rorsh & Brine on one flank, Thor & Basher on the other, and let mayhem ensue

I run both lessers in almost every SR list. One in each list that is and the caster doesn't matter that much. They help by adding a pseudo heavy into the mix that doesn't require the caster to spend his precious focus pool on. Plus R&B and W&S are fairly self sufficient so they don't even really need spells to aid them. Granted either under Damiano's feat are pretty bonkers good though.
