Tell me why i should play Legion over the other hordes factions.

Because Everblight is a disembodied dragon, who uses his influence to warp flesh, twist minds, enslave entire races and install himself as their god.

You ignore rough terrain on most of your beasts with Pathfinder. Eyeless sight is almost universal on all the beasts which lets you ignore forests, stealth, concealment setc...,

We have some of the top casters in Hordes with Saeryn and Vayl. We have good access to Elven troop choices (and some Ogrun too).

Also the fluff in my opinion is the best out of all the factions. The smallest most weakest dragon has figured out a way to blight elves and ogrun. He has hidden his crystal heart within an Ogrun so the other dragons cant find him and he continues to make more dragon spawn with the help of the warlocks he has corrupted to his side. There is a lot more to it than that, but the backs story for Everblight is great.

Also be prepared to hear a lot of complaining about how OP Everblight is ruleswise, that is.

I've been playing the game for only 6 months or so. When I started, I picked Legion because it just looked cool and I liked the dragon theme. I wasn't pleased with the battle box because I always lost and regretted my decision to go with Legion. Over time, I learned that the problem wasn't the battle box, it was me. As I got better, it got more fun. Then as my army grew, it got a LOT more fun!

I like Legion because they're fast. They have eyeless sight. It's fun ignoring other people's powers. I like the powerful melee beasts. I like the variety of warlocks. What I don't like is that they're glass cannons. That's pretty much the only thing I don't like. And I'm not suggesting it should have been otherwise, it's needed to keep things balanced.

eyeless sight and flight = the ability to ignore most of the rules of the game.
only ranged grivous wounds in the game. base GW too.

there are tons of cool things in the faction, but you can judge for yourself by how much complaining other people do about us, and how much fun legion players have.

Great playstyle, super cool models and theme. Really killer Warbeasts with all sorts of bells and whistles -- Honestly, I think Legion Warbeasts come with the absolute coooooolest kits: Eyeless Sight, Pathfinder, SPD:6+, etc. The WLs are super rad too: Some melee choices, some ranged choices, some spellcaster types. Play for a quick kill, or grid it out via attrition.

It's a really fun faction.

Aside from rather sleek and wicked awesome beast designs, how about a fast and hard hitting glass sledgehammer for an army? The best part being that with Flight/Pathfinder/Eyeless Sight no-one can hide from said glass sledgehammer!

Granted Legion can't take their hits so well, but man does it hurt when and where we hit.

Eyeless Sight/Pathfinder(/Flight)/Speed is a huge heap of BS to play against, so I don't blame people for complaining about it. Legion likes terrain more than any other faction because of these abilities, because if it is there we can get all the benefits it provides with almost none of the penalties. Meanwhile the other guy gets almost none of the benefits and all the penalties. On top of that, staples like Stealth and Camo, and Cloud Effects become almost meaningless benefits that the other guy still pays for in the cost of units that have them. These are problems we simply don't have to plan for (mostly; since most 'locks/units are affected).

So yeah, I totally get it when people complain about Legion. However, these same issues are completely moot if there is little or no terrain or the opponent isn't using cancelled abilities... then WE pay for things we can't use, but you'll never hear anyone outside the faction admit to this Legion disadvantage.

Overall, I love Legion. It is my only faction and likely to remain that way. If I need a fix for playing something else, I'll trade factions with friends for a few games.

What I enjoy most about Legion is that it's one of the factions that run beast heavy across the whole faction. You can run lots of monsters with almost any caster, unlike my Trolls or most of the focus users.

Do we ever! Last night I played against Baldur1 + Wolds with Vayl1 +Typhon/Ravagore/Bolt Thrower and tabled him without ever losing a model and a grand total of ONE melee attack occurring the entire game (a Shredder ate a manikin).

get a plastic kit. ravgors are amazing legion cannon beasts and the scythean is a standup melle house when you need it. magnitize the kit and you can switch them where they need to be. definitly worth the money. And if you magnitize you can also grab the proteous upgrade kit as well and have a quad beast. I would suggest getting at least two kits so you can have to carny bodies with your choice of weapons.

He isn't as popular right now, but i do think taking a seraph is worth while as well. but thats just my personal opinion .

The cream of Legion shooting IMO is found in Ravagore(s), Nephalim Bolt Thrower, and Typhon. I've had Typhon disintigrate 75% of an army by himself over a couple rounds with the help of Incite and Chiller from Vayl1.
