Nyss Hunter stand-ins?

I've got the Nyss Hunters for tourneys, but I'm not a big fan of the models so I'm interested in picking up something as a stand-in for friendly games.

I'm sure I'm not the first person in this boat. What are people using as alternates for this squad? Ideas?

My personal thought was to get a unit of Retribution Mage Hunter Strike Force. Then bits order a bunch of Nyss Longbow pieces and replace all the MH crossbows with them. The original MH swords probably look ok, so no need to do anything with those. Should look just peachy IMO.

OH right - and since the Mage Hunter officer is female, she ought to make a good stand-in for Cylena too. Pretty sure they even have the same hair style.

NOTE - i would only use this particular conversion in a pure Merc army. In a Ret army it would be too easy to confuse your converted unit with ACTUAL Mage Hunters.

I dunno I want to make a nyss theme force with Nyss Hunters and Lanyssa Ryssyl The artwork for both are great and the model for Lanyssa is sweet. But I have to agree that the Nyss hunters heads ruin the models. Though Cylena isn't bad the hunters are... *shudder* Now to decide between head swap and the MageHunter mega conversions....

I use GW ungors with bows. Works ok for me.

I think I'm going to buy them standard then sculpt scarves over their face. It looks easier than making a hood, and hides more of the face :P

I've got Mengil Manhide's Manflayers, an old WH Dogs of War unit, that I'm going to use as stand ins. They have crossbows but, other than that, they look pretty good as Nyss.
