Went to my First Tourney and Won!

Friday I attended a local tournament with retribution. It was 25 Points, and it was my first tournament playing warmachine. I took my only caster Rahn.

I had a blast, and played some cool opponents. I played an E Sorsha list, with Shocktroopers. An E Severious with Max errants and lots of jacks. and a P Stryker list with a mix of everything. I won all three of my games,

My stars of the show were:
E Eiryss: Disrupting a Jack every turn is just sick! I effectively nullify a big threat. She was awsome!

Fane Knight: I've Finally Learned how to play Him! Had him hang back slightly untill turn 3 or so and then attack! Performed awsome, including killing 3 Shocktroopers in the course of one game, wailing on a crusader and crippling it and doing around 20 points of damage on a charger in one round!

Really everything in my list worked well, Rahn was really fun to use, 2 Chain blasts on feat turn FTW! Special thanks to Mr Phoenix for letting Rahn use his arc node!

Anyways though I would report on my first Tourney! I had a blast, and I noticed after all my battles, my opponents just shook there heads and said "I hate Retribution". (Probably because of my MHSF)

Also I won a Madalyne Corbue Model so im thinking about expanding my army to 30 points. Here it is:

Also realized that Fane Knight is amazing assassin: Madeline + Telekinesis +Spd 8 +Charge +Reach=18 inch dead caster zone!

Don't forget, Magister also adds 3" (if you're using one), and Rahn can TK the opposing caster as well if you can get in range. Potential 23"? hehe

Nice! Congrats! I'd also look into investing in some Sentinels. They make many of my lists. Sounds like you've got a great, solid start with where you are though. Look forward to hearing of more successes

Thanks guys,I'm hoping to get into the official tournament scene. I live a couple hours from Seattle, so Id like to go up there and get some tournament action. I find Tournaments really fun and challenging. Would you guys recommend adding another infantry unit like Halberdiers or Sentinels at a 35 point level? Or another Jack?

north of south of Seattle. I game at Olympic cards and comic in Lacy WA. Thursday and Saturdays. We don't have a lot of tournaments but we do play a lot of games.
