    Default eStryker with Stormwall (50)

    eStryker
    Squire
    Lancer
    Stormwall

    Full Sword Knights
    Full Sword Knights
    Black 13

    Junior
    Runewood
    Strangewayes
    Stormsmith x3
    Rhupert

So this little list popped up in my mind.
The idea is obviously to abuse Stormwall + Sword Knights for their immense offensive capablities and synergy while popping solos left and right with Stormsmiths and B13. Rhupert AND Runewood to deal with stuff like pIrusk or Circle.

Sword knights under positive charge are amazing, so why not up the ante and have that PC be as wide as a Stormwall? Add Lancer for support to either cast Rebuke through, or just PC him and have a secondary flank jack.

I think the list is nicely balanced with a fair ranged capability and a lot of melee goodness going on. Sword Knights are great with Stryker, but I actually think doubling them up is not a bad idea. You could exchange one unit of them to get precursors instead to deal with winter guard and the likes, but I'm not sure it's needed between the pods and stormcallers.

I haven't tried it yet, but I think I'll take it for a spin next week.

    Thought?

Not to bad list, but what i think is that you don't need Rhupert and Runewood in the same list. Am not a fan of lancer with eStryker, but can't get eStryker to work good for me at 50pts. But if you counting of SK flank Lancer is probably not bad choice. But don't count of SK to use flak from stormwall so effective, as i think SW will charge probably priority targets that he can kill on his own, so SK will be ou of job there or even SW will block lanes for SK to get to priority target, maybe i'm wrong. But else it could work.

I'd probably drop the squire, one stormsmith and one unit of SK for a unit of Stormguard, their reach makes it easier for them to remain in PC.
That 3rd smith would move to the reinforcements though...

The list looks great to me.

On the stormsmiths I believe the better option is always eNemo for them. Raising their command check up to [9] may not seem all that helpful, but it really is. When you need them in the clutch to clear a enemy warrior model and they have those two extra points towards their ability check it really can make a world of difference to be completely honest. I see people pulling their hair out over the storm smiths at my local gaming store. In fact, last week I saw a guy roll three nines in a row. All of the ability checks would have passed and all of the rockst shooters from the winter guard would have been dead.

I really, really, really like the sword knights in this list. They just get really stupid good. Reform on from runewood is going to be amazing with eStryker's feat. The Sword Knights can reform the 3'' then move the 3'' from estrykers feat. They then gain access to enemies that would otherwise be out of reach. Putting down two flank attacks in one turn from the feat will really put the hurt on the enemy. Their Mat goes crazy high with: Positive Charge, Flank, and Path to victory with Runewood; they should end up around MAT 12 or so. Even the eliminators will have a hard time dodging them with MAT that high, and if it's single wound infantry that you are fighting against the precision strike ability will kill them so long as their attacks hit. Not to forget with Runewood and Rhupert in the same list you can give them pathfinder from Rhupert and them give them path to victory and they can now charge over walls. Super crazy awesome. One question I have for you is this: "Why don't you have a sword knight unit attachment? It grants the sword knights practiced maneuvers, which allows them to move through one another, which could be extremely valuable given the fact that you will be using such a large model.

So, I am wondering why you have strangeways in the list. He can only allocate focus to a jack through power booster, which states that the power booster can only be used if the warjack in question has not been allocated focus already. Typically you will see strangeways in a list with marshaled jacks so you can throw down one focus on them per turn to help them out. One of my favorite examples is when strangeways marshals a hunter. It gets the "pseudo-focus" for being jack marshaled and then he can power booster the hunter for one real focus, so that way the hunter can always boost ranged attack rolls and ranged damage rolls.

So, the list looks pretty good to me for the most part. I just have those two questions. The one about the SK UA and the other about Strange Ways.

One thing I would have to caution against is the widow makers and the widow makers marksman. Those guys can aim most of their shots with an experienced player. When the widow makers can all do this with the addition of saxon orrik they can effectively remove 6 sword knights from play per turn, because they have sniper. Any way you can help them be harder to hit the better off you will be in terms of going against Khador. I am sure other factions have access to sniper, like Cygnar has anatomical precision and precision strike. So, as long as you can deliver the SK's to the widow makers they can most definitely kill all of them.

Let me know what you think of my suggestions and what your plans are. Thanks.

PG-Tommeh: Drop squire? Extended control, reroll Rebuke and effectively making Stryker a cap 7 caster seems much better to me than Stormguard.

LCCavanaugh: The SK UA costs the same as 4 guys, which is why I didn't bring them. I like them, but I'd rather have 2 x 10 than 1 x 12 and 1 x 6 guys, so thats why I've left them out. Strangewayes is there to power boost or give evasive to the lancer AND to fix my Stormwall if it takes a pounding. I always bring him, he's our best solo.
About the stormsmiths. Of course they are better with skill 9 and POW 12, but then I'm playing Nemo and not Stryker. Just because they have to default to their basic stats, doesn't mean they're not extremely good. In my opinion Stormsmiths are close to being broken with their crazy ability and my opponents hate and fear them and usually spend a lot of energy on removing them, which is fine. If they use 4 or 5 points to take them out I'm a happy camper. Stormsmiths, in any list, are very point efficient.

Ter-Ter: Well maybe the fact you don't like the lancer with eStryker is why you don't have any succes with him in 50 points Nah seriously I really miss it when I'm playing without it with Stryker, those Rebukes are just so important for him to keep his army alive. Also with Stormwall you can deny one charge lane with it's covering fire and then shut down another unit with Strykers Rebuke and to top it off, the ol' Lightning pod + Mage storm combo shuts down another angle. It's going to be really hard to make it across the table against this list.

I was thinking about dumping a unit of SK's and a Stormsmith, to add a minimum unit of Lances. They're pretty sure to get the charge going, I have plenty of pathfinder options and they can hit hard and precise with Runewood. Wasn't it ruled that impact attacks counts as charge attacks? So even their horses have MAT 9 on the charge. Top it off with PC on the lancer and the horses hit on MAT 11.

I've missed a Squire a grand total of 1 (one) time while playing eStryker, and I've gotten more than my fair share of games in with him
Considering the feat is model/unit, the extended control area isn't that superb. The additional focus is nice, but as mentioned, never really missed that so that leaves the Rebuke reroll. Which is not worth the 2 points imo.
To each his own of course.

Although not a unit on par with things like Banes and WGI, the stormguard are always solid, they don't bunch up as much as SK, and reach is just awesome (especially with the feat). The higher native MAT also means they require less attention to work.

Lances would work better than the second SK unit I reckon, though your model count is really suffering if you do bring 'em.

Maybe, need to try Stryker with Lancer and use more often rebuke. With SW and maybe B13 you can probably control the battlefield.

About Squire in eStryker list: Without a squire i would have lost a lot more games, as that 1focus save me countlles times, when you go for asassination. Extended control maybe is not that usefull, but that 1foc was worth it for me, but i agree that you can play it out without it just fine.

EStryker without Rowdy! You can not do it, it is just wrong. Think Bonded and the Affenity. 4 Focus on Rowdy and a free bonus to hit on the first attack with crit knockdown, he may show the Stormwall how it is done. Counter charge and the Affenity has helped me so many times with Estryker. Def 19 in hand to hand is sooooo nice.

I would drop the lancer. I would also switch to Stormguard. The reach and electroleaps are a lot of fun. 5+3+2 on the charge is good, then the feat of another +3 and another round of electroleaps rocks. The Lady and Holt help vs. Ret, as they will just make their jacks require Magic to hit. Same for the Pistol Wraith with Cryx. Trolls with Jr's +3 Arm (19Arm) and tough 4 is also way cool.

I am having so much fun with Nemo3 and pHaley, I have not had a chance to run EStryker (my favorite caster) with the stormwall yet.

    Question

I think after reading that I am going to have to try out the storm smiths tomorrow or the next day. I'll have to let you know how they fare. I am kind of leery at using them, but it seems like they are really a good unit.

Would the storm smiths be good at something like killing widow makers?

Keeping character restrictions in mind, Rowdy tends to end up with eCaine for the focus efficiency.

Bonding a Stormwall is pretty sweet too. Positive Charge and the Feat can pump out 7 pow 22s...
