you don't need to be accurate to fight a dragon, they're literally bigger than barns. any one can hit a dragon, what matters is if you can hurt it.

I said close combat not just hitting.

In my experience, of all factions, Khadors' (and perhaps Cryxs') casters are most capable of handling the hard work themselves. We may not have any who are inherently MAT 8 but almost all of our casters can be effective MAT 8+, and one is inherently MAT 9. Consider he's also the only natively POW 16 weaponmaster in the game. Plus he can bump it to POW 19 pretty easily. Several of our casters can even be effective MAT 10 (pVlad, eVlad, Karchev, pSorscha on feat), and have enough focus left over to deliver a decent beatdown.

What are you all talking about? He's using a spear which is meant for two hands? No it's not! The Roman Phalanx had a shield on their left arm and a spear called a pilum in their right! Knights used lances in ONE HAND. If it's the only thing you're using, sure, you put the other hand on it. But a spear or a lance is fine for use in one hand.
