    Red face My daughters trollbloods

Hello trollblood players, I purchased some trolls for my daughter who fell in love with the models and I was wondering on how to work her up to a good 35pt list with some more models and such. She has -

    The battle box
    Grissel1
    Rune bearer
    Dire troll mauler
    Dire troll bomber/blitzer
    Full fennblades with ua

There is only one troll player at my lgs but he is also new so any tips and purchase ideas would be awesome. Thank you in advance if I forget to reply to anyone!

You got the staples first, which is good. Some of the other stuff you should look at getting are (in order):

Fell Caller Hero (his buffs certainly can help the Fennblades)
Champions + Skaldi (a good solid infantry selection)
Krielstone Bearer unit + Scribe Elder UA (the fury vault also can buff your forces up)
10 Kriel Warriors + UA + 3 Cabers (not a big priority since you have the Fennblades, but they also give you a good infantry choice)

Those are a good number steps to look at.
We are all legends. Our only choice is how to end the tale...

Sweet I was thinking in those models too. I also have Lynnesa, swamp gobbers and bone grinders. Are Those good minions for trolls?

Trolls don't have any 1-point solos, so Swamp Gobbers are often used to fill that spot (the only other option being Feralgeist); their cloud is good for protecting casters and such. Lanyssa has her uses (slingshotting Earthborn Dire Trolls across the map), and finds her way into some Trollblood armies -- depends on personal preference. I'm not sure Bone Grinders get much use.

Thanks for posting. I tear up a little whenever a gamer gets his daughter into playing.

One of our members wrote a very good primer on where to start in trollbloods. It describes the pieces that are always useful in our faction.
    http://privateerpressforums.com/show...Where-to-Start.

As for my own opinion, she's got a good spread of models to begin with. The fennblades are an excellent tarpit, and she can play some combo of the beasts you've got with almost any caster to great effect.

As for what to buy next, I suggest get a few more support pieces. At the top of the list I suggest a fellcaller; he goes with almost any army. A stonescribe chronicler works to enhance the fennblade tarpit. Janissa Stonetide is a great model with unique rules that can really enhance her strategies. The krielstone +UA makes gives +2 armor to all the other nearby trolls, and a lot of players won't leave home without it. Whelps add a fun mechanic and really help beast heavy lists.

After a couple of the above solos, I suggest another caster. Each of our casters can be played well, so get her another to change the way her army plays. Calandra, Grim Angus, and Borka would all fit perfectly with the models she has already. When she gets an additional infantry unit, eMadrak becomes a nasty option. Eventually when she gets some more heavy beasts(Earthborn and Mulg), eDoomshaper becomes a powerhouse.
