Thread: Resurgence List

    Default Resurgence List

I just played in a resurgence Tourny and these are the lists that brought me first place. It was 25pt, 35pt, 50pt format.

    24pt
    pGoreshade
    Seetherx2
    Bane Knights (6) x2

    35pt
    pGoreshade
    Seether
    DeathJack
    Bane Knights (10) x2

    50Pt
    pGoreshade
    Seether
    DeathJack
    Cankerworm
    Bane Knights (10) x2
    Bane Lord Tartarus
    Pistol Wraith x2

These list went in order of Vlad winning on points, Karcheve winning on caster Kill, and a Cygnar Haily gun mage and shooting jacks blitz list winning on caster kill. Just thought I'd put these out here for other people too see how some of us deal with range.

I was thinking of running a very similar list to that at our resurgence. Since I am not a Cryx player, would you be able to give a short report on how you ran that list? Looks like a lot of moving stuff forward and killing stuff simply.

Well in round one I faced off against Vlad, some jacks, and some doom reavers. The list basically worked by moving forward, taking out those doom reavers turn 2, and forcing my opponent to fight in the center and far control zone while leaving me to score points in my own.

Round two I was against Karchev, and JACKS!! The goal was to get in his face again with my Bane Knights and try to drag down anything big and mean. The MVP for the game was Goreshade for keeping up Mage blight and keeping Karchev less awesome. Also using death jack to cast Hex blast to get rid of any nasty up keeps that I didn't want to see was also good. I used vengeance to reposition my bane knights to get charges off of Gorshades feat on Karchev, but the game came literally down to free strikes when Karchev decided to trample through my bane knights and right into Gorshades face. Thank god for reach.

The last game was against Haily, Defender, Thorn, Hammersmith, Charger, Gun Mages, 2x Stormcallers, and Sword Knights. Also two Solo's but I don't remember who they where. I used my pistol wraiths to take out the stormcallers, and they stayed alive for the rest of the game doing nothing to my surprise (the alive part not the doing nothing part). I used Ghostly to get those much needed charges off through any terrain I had line of sight through, and Vengeance to bunny hop into Haily's face. Also used Shadowmancer not so much for the stealth but for the -2 arm to take down jacks easier with my knights. Cursed Haily the entire game with BLT and made more knights, from knights to swell my ranks. For the rest of the game Goreshade basically popped feat to get a charge off on Haily, and than ran back to protect himself by camping on 7 focus. All canker worm managed to do was keep the hammersmith busy, and my seether and Deathjack died pretty quick with out accomplishing much of anything (bad planning on my part). The Knights took 3 turns to take out Haily due to some bad rolls on the hit even with Curse and Vengeance going off. I think in the end the Thralls are the ones that actually killed her with the -2 arm debuff.

This list is all about the knights. They can drag down jacks, decimate units, and kill casters. You use the knights to get in the casters face as soon as possible, and the rest is all crowd control. Jacks to block off your caster and engage threats, pistol wraiths to bug the crap out of your opponent and get some fire focused away from your caster, and BLT to make your knights even better. And don't forget your feat. It can either kill casters or protect Goreshade. It's pretty basic with no real tricks but it works. Don't forget about mage blight either. That's what stop Karchev from making Goreshade a wet undead meat bag. And I love using DJ to cast Hex blast on any of those really annoying upkeeps that really bug me. That's basically how I use it.
