    Default 35 Point Morghoul

Threw this together, will get some testing in this weekend and wanted to know if there's anything awful about it before hand.

    Basilisk Krea
    Razorworm
    Bronzeback Titan
    Titan Gladiator

I really like Morghoul for his beast buffs and his usefulness as more than a spell slinger. His ability to safely cut single wound Infantry down lets me concentrate on other threats with my points. His application should be apparent with my beast heavy list.

Basilisk is 100% for the Animus. I don't have anyway to kill shooters except melee so I need to get there in one piece. The gun has applications if I would rather Charge a target than Slam or to help out my Solo hunters.

Razorworm is again good for the Animus, I don't want my Beast Handlers clipped by an AoE which can complicate things. Once I get into melee the worm can go and hunt Solos or mess with a unit that needs to shoot for defense.

Bronzeback is super funny with Admonition and makes sure I don't Frenzy if something bad happens to the Handlers. Also has a lot of toolbox with his Animus and Chain Attack, besides being a beatstick.

Gladiators are beatsticks, just shock and awe with their Animus and Morghoul. Not to much to say about them.

Beast Handlers help keep the Heavies under control and make them hit harder, also the healing should be plenty to stay healthy against shooting with my bonuses. I am considering using one Max unit and sneaking Swamp Gobbers in since having two units isn't needed for a brick formation.

Void Spirits are on the same duty as the Razorworm, get in the back and eliminate support while I go to town on the front. For their points I think they are very good as I need something to chase down kiters or reach the back against tarpit heavy armies.

So, any input? My goal is to be beast heavy while having multiple threats for everything.

    Thanks for any replies. :]

Looks pretty good to me. I might swap the Razor Worm for a Drake, and one of the Void Spirits for an Agonizer. Enrage, Abuse and Flank make the Krea a brute against a lot of heavies, and the Drake is great for eliminating solos and clearing infantry. The Agonizer is just a personal favorite model of mine. It's great against both beasts and jacks, and works really well with a beast heavy pMorghoul list.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing for the Drake, I'll take my chances with Blast Damage since I can stay 3" away from a large base that the AoE is centered on.

Why the Agonizer? I see what they can do but why are they better with a beast heavy list? I feel like I am missing something crucial.

Well, I'd say you have enough beast handlers that AoE's won't be too much of a problem against all but the spammiest lists.

When I run the Agonizer it almost always ends up supporting my beasts, either from behind, against Hordes, or from the front, against Warmachine. The reason is simply that Warbeasts are more vulnerable to enemy beasts and jacks than infantry are. If you play against a lot of enemy warbeasts, the -2 damage adds up very quickly when they're trying to kill a Titan. Against Warmachine, denying focus allocation will likely give you a good, solid alpha strike with your warbeasts. It's especially brutal with pMorghoul because he can follow up with his feat, putting a 2-turn lockdown on your opponent's heavy hitters.

Ah that makes more sense. I was also thinking about how it worked in my mind incorrectly so that didn't help anything.

I see how that can be pretty rough for denying a hit back, especially since I am going to get an Alpha Strike a lot of the time.
