Thanks. Never thought of that while I was doing it, strangely.

Really nice work! I'm a stickler for crisp, carefully-painted bases that really pop. So, my only suggestion would be to clean up the mud that has spilled onto the black lip of the bases and maybe find some static grass or flock that looks appropriate, but provides a splash of green - use it sparingly, and I think it'll give the models that final oomph of being complete.

Out of curiosity, how did you do the mud?

Made the mud by adding browns to water effect thats about it really. I will try so static grass but tends to end badly for me. Thanks for the advice.

Army Painter (and probably some other companies) sells ready-made static grass tufts. They're on a sheet, all set to be peeled off and glued to your bases. They look pretty good, imo. Scroll down on this page.

Yeah would like to get some of that stuff but always think its exspensive for how much you get.

The mud scheme is very different, cool idea. The models are good dude but I think you need to add something to the mud effects on the bases. I know if is mud but it looks too flat, could benefit from, some washes of darker brown and dark green to give it more of a deeper look.

    New mud looks great.
I like your thrullg and wrastler, warcaster cloak sort of blends in with his hide imo maybe throw a hilight either on his snout or the hood to differentiate it?
    Otherwise I like

New mud looks great man, well done on making the improvement. Looks much more deeper and realistic.

Really kewl looking gators! I like the browns, fits them nicely.

I like the old mud look, the new mud looks more like brown water.

The new mud looks much better I think, it just looks more naturally part of the model. I really like the way the army is painted all in browns, especially the wrastler. The brown octopus looks original too.

Hilighted the hood a lottle more. Will put a new pic up when I get chance. The votes seem to be going for the new mud! So will also try that when I get a chance. Thanks everyone glad you all like them so far
