Thread: Harkevich List

    Default Harkevich List

So I'm going to be working on a Kommander Harkevich Tier List over the next several months. But I am starting off at the 15pt level this is my first venture into Khador so please bear with me if I sound like a bit of a newb.

    First off my 15pt list:
    Kommander Harkevich
    Black Ivan
    Decimator
    War Dog

I built this list because I figured in small point games might as well maximize damage with a few models. So Black Ivan was a no brainer, the Decimator is good cause on feat turn four POW 15's doesn't hurt anyone, and the War Dog can make the Kommander a little more survivable plus pick off enemies that get to close and return to it's master.

    What do you all think?

Yep and escort on Ivan best part is I can start the game like that and get some extra broadsides in.

When you play your games are you playing scenerios or just kill. You could have a hard time winning scenerios with the low model count.

I think that the better 15 point list with Harkevich is:

    Hark:
    Black Ivan
    Spriggan

A Spd 6 Spriggan is pretty awesome. Decimator is cool and all but I don't feel like Harkevich really has the focus for him. Also, at RAT 4, Fortune really only gives you the pleasure of watching him miss twice, unless you're boosting.

At 15 I find Hark has enough for decimator. Upkeep fortune, escort leaves 4 to give out. So 3 to deci, 1 to ivan (or 2/2). Broadsides only occaisionally (like ranged assassination turn which Ivan is nice at)

When games get bigger and you try run another jack it becomes rather hard.

Ya I thought this list would be pretty efficient for killbox games won't be playing scenarios until 25pts where I will up the model count a bit.

Thats kind of what I figured with Harkevich as well, though if I want tier 4 I'll have to add a 3rd jack so I think I'm going to choose the Demolisher as I feel I could get some milage out of those aoe's and with broadside and feat plus gunfighter 4 4" aoe's dose not hurt anyone

I like the idea behind the Spriggan and it would be nice to have a dedicated Melee jack but I want to see how the Demolisher fares when it gets into close quarters.

@North: just so you know, there's no way to get 4 shots out of a Decimator, since the feat turn shot requires you to charge, which forces you to make melee attacks instead of ranged attacks, so the best you can so is two Dozer shots before you get stuck in and start sawing people. Escort also goes on Harkevich, and Harkevich alone. That means your whole battlegroup gets the speed buff, but only Hark gets the armor bonus. Good luck with Harkevich, I've been enjoying him a lot lately. Speed 6 Pathfinder warjacks are really, really fun

@IronComrade: That's the list I've been using at 15 points. Black Ivan has been a surprisingly good back up heavy thanks to some lucky bear claw crits :P

1 focus to Deci for extra shot.
    3 for broadsides
    1 on feat turn

    isnt that 4 shots ?

The feat shot requires you to charge, and charging prohibits you from making your normal ranged attacks during your activation. However, you can totally make two shots with the feat and broadsides, and then make 4 saw attacks.

Hmm I'm liking this total of 6 attacks idea sounds like you could wreck some faces!

If I'm following the tier list anyone have any advice on where I should go from here to get to 25pts?

Anyone have any input on reaching the Tier list 25pt level. I'm thinking two field guns, I know mortars shot farther and have higher pow but they lack accuracy so I think the two field guns will bring a nice punch to my army. For the rest of the points I'm thinking battle mechaniks.

    Thoughts?

this would be my suggestion for tier 1 at 25 pts
    Kommander Harkevich, the Iron Wolf5
    Destroyer9
    Destroyer9
Winter Guard Field Gun Crew (Leader and 2 Grunts)2
Winter Guard Field Gun Crew (Leader and 2 Grunts)2
Winter Guard Infantry (Leader and 5 Grunts)64
Winter Guard Infantry Officer & Standard2
    Kovnik Jozef Grigorovich

Interesting, I was thinking the FEAT was an exception here and basically it gave warjacks Assault or Assault N Battery for one turn.

I get the idea with the WG and Joe, but it would appear to me the Black Ivan is an auto-include with Hark. He's very focus efficient do to his affinity.

the field gun crews with their crit knock down makes hitting with your RAT 4 AOE 3's a lot easier, and joe makes winter guard better, if you really want black ivan then i suggest that you drop the officer and standard, get black i van and the dog and that will actually get you to tier 3.
