25pt tournament list critique welcome

What are peoples thoughts, this will be my first local tournament and have only played a few games so far. Ive been using pthargoth up to now, but looking at aby she seems like she could be nasty with the free upkeep. and with this being tier 4 i get some nice bonuses

ive been told there are 3 cryx players out of about 7-12 likely to participate. Whats good tactics vs them and what should i look out for?
also this is the first time ive not used Carnevean, which has always done well for me.

Is this the list you are most comfortable playing?
It doesn't have enough meat. Maybe drop Tier and add another heavy.

I have not played against Cryx much, so I can't help you there.

If i drop tier i dont get the discount on the heavies. Do you think its worth the trade, as for example i'd lose a shredder just to pay the non-tier cost then a shredder plus forsaken to upgrade the raek into another beasty. Do you think it will be worth it?

I'd take something similar to this, rava forces the enemy to engage, angelious plain loves forced evo and the forsakens can clear infantry

thanks, would it be worth dropping the raek to fit in the extra 2 shredder making it tier list giving points off the ravagore and angelious?

But if abby is your girl then i would go with:
Abby tier 4 list.
3 lessers. I would go with 2 shredders and one stinger, since you need Tenacity on angel and abby. Then the stinger got a bit more punch and the animus is really good in certain situations.
Raek- With playing god he can jump up behind an heavy and weapon lock and you don't have to care about that jack next turn. Another thing i like to do is a flying headbut and then cast blight field and that jack is staying put
Angelius with def 17 they are pretty hard to kill. If you can use blightfield so that the opponent cant get any focus then its gonna be hard for them to hit you
Scythean You need some hitting power, and with carnivore its gonna be hard to miss. At 25 points you will probably see many lists with only beasts more or less and a angel does not really one shot hard targets sure they leave a dent but a scythean will scrap a heavy
2 Forsaken fury management. And a really good counter to high def inf.

With spd 6-7 you can probably out threat most lists sure not all but with some tricky usage of terrain i wish you the best of luck. The problem with running a Ravegore or a Seraph is that you really have a problem killing hard heavies. What do you do when you see an avatar with defenders ward on the other side of the board? And if you don't have an angel or a scythean yet i would bring the pThaglist since he can recycle the carnivean.

thanks dude, used the pthag list twice vs cryx recently and two wins, have ordered a few models so i can try out some new tactics and combo's. Wanna go Scythean, but with no shooting, is it less flexible? In a 35pt i'd definately see the benefit as i can use it to protect. So far in games the ravagore, and seraph have been really good in games. Not faced anything really big and tough with them so far, each time ive been massively outnumbered
