Default Flashing blade with true strike!?

So the question is simple. since true strike requires you to make a melee attack to get the auto hit, does flashing blade fit the bill? Flashing blade does say "make an attack with one of this models melee weapon" but does it still count as a melee attack or just a spell?

    Thanks

What models have those spells and I can try and look them up and read 'em?

Ok, I don't have my Legoin book on me, but if the animus True Strike states 'the next melee attack' then what happens is the first attack you roll with Flashing Blade would get the auot hit, and you would have to roll for the rest. Even though it does not explicitly say Flashing Blade is a melee attack, it looks like it fits all the requirements for a melee attack. If I am telling you the wrong thing, someone please correct me.

Yeah, Flashing blade lets you make a melee attack against every model in range. While they're simultaneous, they're still individual melee attacks, so True Strike would only apply to the first attack roll The rest would be normal.

Sounds right, the first attack granted by flashing blade would be auto hit

That's what I reckoned, for other effects or timing the attacks occur at the same time, but they are still individual attacks, with the spell affecting the next one and only one attack.

An "attack with a melee weapon" is a melee attack. The rulebook has a paragraph "Game Terms" which actually explains how these terms work. (Prime, p. 28, or small Prime, p. 8.)
