Exclusively gators

Ok so I'm finally plucking up the courage to sell off my other hordes armies and just stay as a gator player, not even going for pigs! Mainly because I really enjoy the gators and I like how they have evolved do far. I was worried I would get bored with just the one faction but given that I have basically duPlicated what I have with gators in my other factions anyway I'm not worried (small, elite armies built around a solid core of warriors)

Anyone else done this?

I play Gators and Cygnar mixed with Pirates.

Due to storage constraints and frequency of games, I've never been bored with my 6 or so lists.

Not so much gators, but i do play pigs exclusively for minions. You may want a second army that has a different playstyle, just to give yourself a 'break' now and again. 3 casters get redundant very quickly, and while each pact has solid choices, you'll be seeing them in every list.

I play pigs exclusively, not just in Minions, but in total. I have no other army Picked pigs back when I got into the game about eighteen months back, and due to budget constraints I haven't really had the option to get another force. Still haven't gotten bored with my piggies though. Possibly, because I've never had the chance to experience what it's like to have a lot of options, I've never really gotten a chance to miss them.

So, not Gators, but it's definitely possible

You will definitely want to add a few extra option, if for no other reason, so that your opponents will not know how to counter you before you even sit down to a fiendly game...

I still have my Khador so I can change it up. Plus there will be new units soon!

However I do reserve the right to completely change min at some point

I totally agree. I've got 3 of each heavy beast, 4 of both lights, and I'm one Posse away from having the max FA. I want to get that last one so bad but I promised myself that I would finish the rest of them first.

I've been considering selling off my legion so I can focus on my other factions (A bit of a completionist) but I keep on deciding against it because I keep thinking it's probably a good idea to keep two hordes 'factions' in the event I ever am in a situation where I might give demogames to prospective players. (As mixing hordes and warmachine is no good for demogames.)

Plus, I really like the extreme carni. If PP keeps going that route in design (eldritch abominations) as opposed to tentacle-house that they have otherwise been seeming to do (stupid) I might start caring about the stupid dragons again. If they keep going towards tentacles, I'll probably drop them for Pigs.

I play khador and always will. gators are really good but I decided to pick up pigs to play the complete minions faction even though, i am not particular pig fan.

Be a real man and play both pacts like me /flex. Its like playing 2 completely different factions that your allowed to cheat and steamroller with.

I've been playing exclusively Gators for over a year now and am still enjoying myself. However I do have my Khador to fall back on if i decide i'm bored.

You don't have to play both pacts to play minions, especially since doing so pretty much doubles the dollars you spend on the game. Playing one pact gives you something that other factiosn don't have, breathing room between releases. You actually have time to buy your new models, paint them and learn how they play with the rest of your faction's models between releases.

While that is not a problem for the hardcore painter/gamer, for the more casual gamer it's a welcome change of pace.

Im pretty happy with just my pigs. I am trying to get rid of all my left over Cygnar stuff. But I am going to keep all my gators if nothing else then for the painting of them because I do love painting them I just do not like playing with them. And I have my Khador on a shelf again i will be keeping these for the painting and the love of the faction but will not really be playing anything but my pigs. And if I do want something new for a day or two it will be my gators. And it will be nice to have the option.

You could drop the Deadites from that list, and I guarantee you will never get bored!!

Carver has a boomstick. Deadites are required in order to keep his aim sharp

I've been playing exclusively Gators and Searforge for a long while now (obviously Searforge longer than Gators, of course), and haven't gotten bored. I did throw together a 50pt Ashlynn list, mainly because I had store credit that I needed to use.

I would say yes, simply because if you were to include someone like Rhupert or Reinholdt in an army list, it wouldn't qualify as you playing Mercs as a faction.
