Iron flesh Mk2: Surviving the elements

With the prevalence of auto hitting elemental damage (aoe fire, arcing lightning) do you think future casters might have spell like this:
Elemental shield: Upkeep (single squad / model) +3 arm vs elemental damage (ie normal damage doesn't trigger it but fire, Acid, lightning, cold damage does).

or maybe a merc solo to hand out a similar effect.
Would it be useful or OP, how would you like to see something similar?

Maybe they could call the spell 'Elemental Shield' or something instead of Iron Flesh Mk II. You know... just because it's not anything like the Iron Flesh spell. :-P

While I doubt any future casters would have it , it's a neat idea I could maybe see it on a merc circle druid or something though as it's very unkhadorian.
