    Default Jack barricades for Warmachine.

I wanted something appropriate for Warmachine instead of the tank traps made by GW or whoever. It made sense that they would be made of iron and not concrete so this is what I came up with. When based they will look great on the table. When I get it done I`ll put up another pic.

Feel free to PM me if you are interested in acquiring some of these.

I like them ,the rivets are a little big compared to the jacks, but I still use them

Thanks. The perspective makes the rivets look a little out of scale to me too. In the next pic I`ll have the jacks beside the barricades to see if it makes them look as good as they do in person.

These look great and (imho) follows the IK aesthetic.

The problem with them though are their purpose.
'Jacks aren't impeded by tank traps in the way a treaded vehicle would be, they'd simply walk around/between them.
For it to look like an obstacle to warjacks, they'd have to be placed close enough that even a small base wouldn't fit between them.

They'd certainly pose a problem for a Khadoran or Trollblood Battle engine, though.

I don't know, it sort of makes sense to me if they're aligned in something of a "zig-zag" formation; sure, a warjack can move through them, but it slows them down and, from a gameplay perspective, it'd be something models can move through and around easily enough but not charge through most of the time due to the whole "straight line" requirement. If you're worried about the big, angry metallic thing charging your front lines, the obstacles would give you a bit more time to hopefully shoot 'em up before they crash in to melee.

I like 'em personally - it ticks the two important terrain boxes (for me) of "matches the Iron Kingdoms aesthetic" and "can have an impact on the gameplay". Nice work!

You could use as "A group of them together in a zig zag could is rough terrain for jacks and beast, warrior models would get cover from them." good old house rules

I appreciate the feedback! I like the zig-zag idea and will make the next set like that. I know the spacing wouldn`t work in reality but in games terms it works fine. At the least jacks would have to slow down to get between the barricades. Adding the wire makes it effect all size models. I`m pretty happy with this one but I`ll put up some pics when I get more done.

I like the style. +1 to the rivets might be too large, but It seems to fit.

I would say that If I had hard points like that meant to slow down jacks I'd probably build some small walls between them to slow troops down too. Just my initial thoughts. Maybe not what you intended, but I think those would make some sweet hard points on some shabby walls. Like the barbed wire too!

Overall very cool aplication of a sweet idea. Might have to steal this for my swamp board.

Well it took me longer to get this done than I thought it would. Life is busy and I have an army to paint! Everyone that has seen them likes them. The rivets seem to hold with the idea of not having a Jack just crush them like a pop can. I may string some chain between the barricades on the first set so it looks like more of an impediment to light Jacks. I could add some mines too.
