...but I only brought one list because I really wanted to get as many different matchups as I could with a list that I was thinking of playing in a subsequent tourney coming up.
I didn't know this ahead of time, but it was a 'chess clock' event, not a 'death clock', so yeah ouch. There were moments where I could not activate key models. Ended up second place in the tournament for the day after four games. And it was a loss to our Dragonfather playing a pDenegrah list. So no worries, one up for Cryx anyway.
System: Warmachine

Round 1: pMadrak list with a half brick mentality built into it.
Round 2: Carver with 3 war hogs.
Round 3: Absolonia with Typhon, lessers, 4 forsakens and a Sythean (I believe..10 inch spray).
Round 4: pDenegrah with Nyss and banes and 2 nodes.
I had chosen the helldiver and the Desecrator for my jacks. The desecrator, cause I had to give it a shot and boosted rolls for free attacks under 'Dark Guidance' sounded yummy. He was an interesting mix. Scather got placed once pretty nicely and the boosted damage on the attack rolls would typically kill the models under the template, even with only P+W 6. The free focus near the banes was nice. Usually my models didn't need him backing them up to remove a heavy threat cause there was so much hitting power. Not bad, but also not sure he's the best spending of my 9 points I have in the list for a heavy. Did position a couple models running into the scather once protecting them from nearby single wound models which was nicely putting pressure on.
The helldiver I found was troublesome. With so many models on the table I found that it couldn't advance after coming up as far forward as it should. And perhaps that just takes time leaving a space for it within the crowd. Either way he provides threat, so he wasn't useless.
Originally, I didn't have BLT and the Blackbane Ghost Raiders in there. Instead I had a full unit of Satyxis Raiders. This time I wanted to see what kind of pressure I could put on with the BGRaiders instead. And they put on some serious threat. They typically ran into models and cause considerable grief for my opponent while the banes and the mechanithralls got into position. Running straight into the forsakens, in the middle of units engaging multiple people or simply taking 4 point rifts in one of the game and pulling considerable fury/focus away from the main list. BLT couldn't maneuver enough though and the extra range or to-hit wasn't really needed. Typically they would just engage after models crashed into the mechanthralls and with 'Dark Guidance' didn't need that much help. If I did a similar list with Blackbane Ghost Raiders in it, I would spend the 4 points left over on something other than Tartarus next time.
However, there is a good chance I'll resort back to Satyxis Raiders.
