Default Looking for ideas: unit of Shifting Stones

I'm looking for ideas to make my second unit of shifting stones stand out from the first unit, beyond just a different paint scheme (which is already in the works).

I've considered some cork to raise them up or the idea of them being cut at odd angles so it looks like they're shifting up through the ground. But beyond that, I'm at a loss.

Any thoughts or inspirational photos of your own ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I've been thinking about a circle army, and one idea I like for the construct models is putting dirt and flock on the top surfaces to make them seem like ancient living ruins. kind of like , though maybe not so camouflaged.

Posting a picture of your current unit of shifting stones may help, too

There's nothing special about my current stone unit; totally stock and painted mostly to studio scheme. I'm contemplating building up some dirt and rubble near the base to simulate erupting from the earth, but again, that's all I've got so far. Though I'm also considering trimming them and building bottoms to them, like the krielstone, an upside down pyramid on the bottom, hovering on stacked stones. Hard to say.

You could always cut them up to make them look like they've been partially broken. Take the top off of one, split the other in half and leave it on the base and then completely knock over a third. You could also partially bury them.

If you're feeling really ambitious, you could put vines growing up them with greenstuff. Circle also uses human and animal sacrifice so you could decorate the second set with dried blood, corpses and bones. It's pretty macabre but it would definitely make them stand out.

If you got decent sculpting skills, cut them to pieces and make them stay together via branches and vine a la Megalith.
