    Default Vanguard Conversions - show me yours

    So, I'm assembling two Vanguards for my Zerkova force and I'm really frustrated with them. The pose is dumb and the model is insanely hard to put together (without pinning everything). I actually threw one across my basement last night in a fit of nerdrage. So I'm going to go ahead and convert them to cool poses since I have to do all the pinning.

    I'm looking for some ideas on cool poses and WIP shots if you have them.

    Feel free to show off your work.
    The forums seem to have one of two responses to new models. (A) "This model is worthless, I'll never use it." or (B) "That model is over powered, it's going to break the game." A few models get both responses, which ends up being really hilarious.
    But what's wrong with saying "This model is circumstantially good and it's up to me as a good player to exploit its strengths and minimize its weaknesses"?

    Well, here's mine. Can't recall the exact nature of what I did, it being two years old, but I believe I cut and pinned one leg, and just used greenstuff on the arm joints to stick them at angles. I also filled in the shield cannon and build a gun to stick behind the shield instead.

    I do not yet have a Vanguard to share, though I have always thought that having the shield mounted on his back to free up his left hand, and then posing a leaping 2-handed scything attack would look pretty sweet. Scything, stabbing, flying halberd-y axe like strike, it's all good.

    @Ogrob
    That is one wicked pose! Great positioning, and I love the shield work. If ever you are looking to sell the little fella, please let me know.

    I converted mine to a braced and kneeling pose. If I had it to to over again I'd do a more extensive repose in a more upright position but I still enjoy this one. Makes sense for a model with shieldguard to brace for impact.

    He seems to take it to heart too, never goes down easy. Can't tell you how many times I've seen an opponent scratching their head after their heavy fails to bring this guy down.

    I like the kneeling pose, it looks like he is braced for impact. I never liked the Vanguard model that much. It has a really different aesthetic to other 'jacks. I would like to see a few more done in this style to see how it develops. The purple and white scheme is great, it reminds me of a half started empire army of mine from many years ago.
