A Tale of Warmahordes 2012: June Completed Models

Welcome to the May Completed Models thread for A Tale of Warmahordes 2012.

A few ground rules for this thread:

• This thread will remain open until 12pm GMT on Monday 9th July - any posts with a date/time entry after that point will not count towards your June totals. I will, however, cross-post any late entries into the July completions thread.
• This thread is for models which entrants into A Tale of Warmahordes 2012 have completed during July. You can also include models which you completed too late for previous months.
• Please post separate pictures for distinct unit entries, with a note as to how many points each entry is worth. I don't have all the faction books, so I need this information to be provided.
• I'm still looking into the possibility of a gallery, so please confirm in your post if you will be happy for me to load your pictures (with appropriate credit) into it if I do get one set up.
• Once we hit the 9th, I'll update the Google Docs spreadsheet with how many points each entrant posted.
• Anyone who has less than five points posted by the closing date will count as using one of their "Get Out of Painting Free" cards

A couple of points to add to this list:

• Why you painted the model doesn't matter - be it for yourself, a commission or some form of exchange, it still counts as far as I'm concerned.
• If you want to join in, please PM me - but please be aware that I won't be adding people to the spreadsheet until they've completed something.

Posting on behalf of CyberNoir...

Continuing to finish up my Cryx army and in preparation for my very first tournament, I’ve added a few more models that can give me a little more speed against ranged armies. I used these two models to flank my foe last night to great success! Next month will most likely bring another jack, however I am currently working on another army and painting my starting 15pts all at once, so it will be another month or so before I have them ready to post.

Juggernaut 7pts, but it's only going to be serving as base decoration for Stormwall #2 (already a work in progress - that's why the Juggernaut is posed like it's being knocked backwards, and its shoulder plate is being bent up - it fits perfectly to the fist of that Stormwall), so I don't know if its points count or not.

Total points for June: 27 or 34 (depending on whether the Juggernaut is counted)

chris_cryx, a cheap bottle of metallic acrylic I bought from hobbycraft about 10 years ago and it is still going strong.
Got a green and blue of the same make, that I use regularly.

Wow. Quite a hectic last week for me, my friend Zumorikato (at least that's his nick here on the forums) had a birthday concert with a bunch of superb bands, and me and a bunch of other people decided to give him a start with an eMagnus Bad Seeds list (he has been talking about it forever). I actually managed to finish the models saturday afternoon and the party started an hour after that. Close call to say the least.

Anyways, less talky more picture'y.

Probably the earliest I will ever post in the challenge this month. 12 points done so I earn back last months get out of jail card.

There are a few hidden areas that I will deal with some other time, but he's certainly good enough to hit the table I guess.
I took a few risks with the guy and am not sold on him TBH, but then when am I ever happy with my work

The pose is a bit gorilla, a bit headbutt, a bit dragging the claws as he chases down his foes.. kicking up sparks and making them scared. I hope that is kind of conveyed....

Nice Deathjack there Jon! Particularly like the pose, especially from a gaming POV (too many DJ's I've seen have claws all over the place making it impossible to get models into 1/2" melee).

Do I also spy Bane Knight shields on the sides of his legs bulking out the armour a bit??

Cheers guys, yup added some Bane Shields as per YW7's guide from back in the day. Just stops some of that top heavy look that can unbalance him a little.

The pose was intended to prevent reverse DJ syndrome a little too

....so as well as the guys above, I also got a caster painted up. Along with some silly stuff, 2 flags and an objective marker for SR2012, and a custom wreck marker for my Rhulic Blaster (Blaster was painted last year but has been waiting patiently for his RIP marker). Technically the flags and markers were all July, but as they aren't scoring points I didn't see the harm in posting them here as all the photos were taken together.

Darn, I've been really busy, missed posting my minis that I did in May... There are a lot... and even more in June.

With summer coming in full swing, I think I'm painting a little crazy. How I managed to paint, play Diablo 3, and lounge on patios, all the while - get this - GOING TO WORK - is beyond me.

Painted a crap load in June. I was going to go for a full 35 (41 points plus caster) point army, but no one would bet me that I could do it, so I painted 30 points instead.

With an extra 9 points on July 1st.
