Two player battle box

Anyone care to comment on whether or not the two player battle box will be an alright starting point for circle? They would be my first Hordes faction since I just play Menoth and got stomped by them last night haha.

the two player battle box is basically the starter box (with a winter argus and normal argus instead of two normals) with a full unit of skinwalkers.

since the starters are usually good places to start a faction, and this one gives u more variety than the original (w the winter argus) its seems good. And price wise, the full unit of metal skinwalkers is like 50 dollars. Add the battle box which is around 40. Seems like you get the whole legion side, mini rule book and extras for free.

Skinwalkers are not something u will see in every list. But as a 5 pt unit for 3 medium based infantry, they do a decent job in the speed bump devision.

So if you can wait for it, its a good buy. I already have a starter box and unit of metal skinwalkers and i still plan on buying one when it gets released.

I think it's a good buy. I like the skinwalkers myself, they were actually the first thing I bought after the battle box, mostly because I love the models. I find them useful in the game as well. They are self reliant and can tie up something for you while Kaya does her thing with her beasts.

It's an even better deal than TheNoob describes - a MIN unit of Skinwalkers is $50. The FULL unit will run you $84 retail, with no discounts. So for the two-player battlebox price, you're paying for them, the Winter Argus, and getting EVERYTHING else essentially free, including not only all the other models, but the mini rulebook, dice, and a ruler (ok, that last item is more just for completeness sake). Regardless, it's a TREMENDOUS deal, esp. if you can split the cost with someone who's interested in Legion and/or get the box at a discount - one of my FLGS offers 20% discount on game night. Many online retailers offer even steeper discounts. (Leaving out the obligatory "support your LGS" spiel, as we all already know the pros/cons of that issue).
