Default Really want to play Tier-4 Maelok at 35points

Everything gets incorporeal on first time. Maelok and a Boneswarm get Advance move. And all my Boneswarms get a corpse token.

    Maelok +6

    Blackhide Wrestler -9
    Boneswarm -4
    Boneswarm -4
    Boneswarm -4

    5 Gator Posse -9
    3 Gator posse -6

    Witch Doctor -2
    Witch Doctor -2
    Feralgeist -1

I love tier lists and maeloks is sooo fluffy... but, I also don't want to just lose every game so honest feedback appreciated.

Personally I'd never go lower than two full posses with Maelok. Below that level I feel that it just becomes too easy to get rid of the bunch and then you lose Maelok's imo best spell.

I'm liking the Bog Trog + Witchdoctor option. Normally I'd go with a minimum of one Bull Snapper because Spiny Growth is so good but with so many Swarms around I think stuff would frenzy all over the place. A cheap unit that can be used for sac strike and some solo redundancy sounds pretty tasty.

Swarm is a "self" animus so it'd only work if the swarms stood right next to the posse.

I revised my list, but I'm starting to agree with the idea of two full posse's + min fishies and another witch doctor. The fishies are great sac targets, plus a tactical flank and the third doctor then gives all three boneswarms advance move

I really wish the Boneswarms were worth it, they are such a nice model, but so ineffective even with a free corpse token.

Can my witch doctors dominate undead my own boneswarms to give them an extra full advance and swing?

In this newWar-Torn Alliances: Minions model upgrade gives boneswarms one corpse token. So then with this list I would have three advance move boneswarms that start the game with 2 corpse tokens and have incoporeal turn 1

    Boneswarm -4
    Boneswarm -4
    Boneswarm -4

    5 Gator Posse -9
    5 Gator posse -9
    5 Bogtrog Ambushers -5

    Witch Doctor -2
    Witch Doctor -2
    Witch Doctor -2

    No, Dominate Undead specifies "enemy".

Ended up playing some games with Maelok Tier 4

    Boneswarm -4
    Boneswarm -4
    Boneswarm -4

    5 Gator Posse -9
    5 Gator posse -9
    5 Bogtrog Ambushers -5

    Witch Doctor -2
    Witch Doctor -2
    Witch Doctor -2

Game 1 vs Trolls, Epic Hoarlok, Mulg, Earthborn, Mauler x2 Frost trolls.
Going into the game I thought I was going to get crushed. I had no heavies and I'm facing three very good heavies! Turns out ps 13 is all you need to crack armor 19

The Bonehoardes were all given advance move and all just cast swarm and made a full advance while the posses followed behind. My thought was that since they don't hit hard I would use them as diversionary models to absorb swings. It worked perfect, my opponent could not consistently hit def 15 models. Next turn my ambushers snagged a stray frost troll, and with the combined efforts of boneswarms and posses I ripped up beasts.

Next game was against Circle with that tree caster. Similar results.. (I'll make a much better battle report eventually)

All in all, tier 4 maelok isn't that bad against hordes. Against non-living warmachine jacks I'm sure it will be different. The most difficult thing were the witchdocters. I had no idea how to use them. Three was definitely too many.
