    Question Where to buy the new Ashlynn model?

    I stopped by my local retailer who has a nice collection of Privateer Press goodies. I noticed the cool new Ashlynn model and inquired if he could order one for me. Sadly, he couldn't find it to order and assumed it is a direct PP buy. However, when I went to the online store, it isn't there. If anyone knows where to get the new Ashlynn model I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!

    From what I understand, it was a L&L convention exclusive.

    Lock and Load convention that was in Seattle June 1st-3rd. I don't know what their thought is behind the info posted on the site.

    Supposedly...it is Con exclusive for the Summer. Afterwards I have heard it will be put in the online store.

    Do hope it makes the store. I can't run over to Seattle for it. Strange how they decided on a Merc. I picked them up because nearly no one plays Mercs and wanted to give them a go.

    Mercs have been very popular this year in general. And it is a sculpt people have asked for a resculpt for her for quite some time.

    Likely untrue. It is probably a convention exclusive for the next few months and then will make his way into their online store as a PP exclusive.

    They made the sculpt... they made the mold. It'll be available for general purchase I'm sure... They wouldn't go to the trouble and money to produce it without plans to mass sell it.

    They make some models though for being PP exclusives (sold only at conventions and their online store, such as the Extreme sculpts). These models are never the only way to get that model in terms of rules and are always just alternate sculpts. And PP doesn't do convention-only exclusives really like some companies. The only thing that has been a convention-only exclusive were the gold bordered warlock cards from last year's Gencon (and I think maybe the Mountain King's cards at LnL?).

    Actually, if Rapid Prototyping tech advances a bit more in the near future, I could see them doing one-off sculpts or limited-run resin kits for next to no overhead.

    LnL is already passed. It was at the beginning of June. You should try to find someone who is going to Gencon since it will likely be there.

    I asked if you were Sean since I just had a new chap in on Wednesday who has an interest in Mercs, particularly Ashlynn. Thought you might have been him.

    Don't forget the alternate Eryiss sculpt. They made the sculpt and the mold and was only available through No Quarter. So there is precedence for specialty releases. Given that the Ashlynn re-sculpt was only available at L&L so far I would assume that she will be sold on the store eventually. No point in pissing off all the merc players who can't make it to the conventions.

    The Ashlynn resculpt? The one on the Warmachine page http://privateerpress.com/warmachine...ashlynn-delyse or is it a different one? The one on the Warmachine page is probably due out in stores in September. Maybe it was available to purchase early to those going to L&L. If you are on the homepage look under support, then reatilers, there is the product sheet. It usually has the release month for a product. Ashlynn isn't there yet though.

    If it is gold bordered, it is just a gold border around the portrait, not the entire card. So you know what to look for.
