    Default Best Hardcore Lock

    Hey all

My FLGS is having a hardcore tournament (1 list, 35 points, killbox/assassination) and I can't decide on which of our locks is the best one to bring.

I know that I am in for a wide range of lists (IF Kazazy Assassins, 5 jack pVlad list etc) and I am not sure which lock will give me the tools to get through any list.

I am currently leaning towards; Kromac, Mohsar and Morvanna.

I like Kromac bc Bestial is good anti-magic, Wild Aggression helps with High DEF and Warpath gives me lots of movement options.

Mohsar has -ARM, spray spam and pillars to play some board control

Morv has mad jams with witch doctor/Regrowth (who will be out before the tourney) good anti-infantry with Eruption/Feat and an +ARM

I know some advice is going to be play what im most comfortable with, but i have 2 months of practicing, so i can get comfortable. Just looking for some opinions on who ppl think is our best well rounded lock (i own them all except eKrueger/Grayle, i am not interest in Grayle but i can get my hands on eKrueger no prob)

Seriously, the best Hardcore lock is the one you know the best. Choose the one you like, and play the heck out of them.

I agree with fildrigar. Hardcore can be a little, hardcore. When you have no time to think you need to know your models rules, stats, and abilities inside and out. You're better off playing something "weaker" that you've mastered than something "better" that you have limited experience with.

In the past I'v felt as comfortable-as-is-possilbe-in-hardcore using 'locks that suit a low model count, are fairly straightforward to use, and have assasination potential - Kromac and eKaya top the list for me.

Mohsar - placing pillars properly in the time available can be tricky, and he's so squishy 1 wrong move you die. Depending on how fast you can play Morvannah might suit you but a high model count can be a problem.

For me pKaya and eBaldur have both been not too difficult to use, but lack a win condition. I agree with the above, but as you have a couple of months to get ready, you have the time to get comfortable with your chosen lock.

Check also it is not 50 points - Hardcore normally is.

eKaya + Gnarlhorn + Stalker. 13inch charge plus reach. Assassinatin win.
