Purification vs khador greylords

I have searched through the forums and found various rulings for purification but i havent found this specific conflict. SO...

Does purification remove the smoke effects conjured by a greylord? if not why not?

to be clear im erring on the side they dont, but as they are a magic ability and a huge thorn in my side I'm hoping that it will

Greylord Blizzards are neither continuous effect, animi or upkeep spells; so nope, Purification unfortunately does not remove them.

damn i thought so, have to find some other way to negate them then
