Cool What model made you choose The Motherland?

I think it was four years ago that I was at FanExpo and there was a PP booth. Even from afar, the game looked wicked... But it was the Devastator model that captured my heart. To this day it is still my favourite, and I seem to try to fit it in to every list.

What about the rest of you folks?

I saw Karchev and the Behemoth and I was sold.

The store rep. was like "well the battle box uses Scorsha and blah blah blah." my response was I want Karchev the Behemoth and the Kodiak that will be my battle box

Sorscha. Saw her and I wanted to play Khador. Then I saw Beast 09 and that just made me want to play them more. Quickly found out that Sorscha and Beast work together and are BFFs and that just sealed the deal.

The Widowmakers, namely their leader, Chick Fury.

The Iron Fang Pikemen also caught my eye, as did the picture of Vlad (before I realized how overpowering his shoulderpads are to lesser mortals).

In Cygnar, you duel with your words.
In Khador, we duel with our swords.

I honestly think it was just the basic Destroyer that sold me. I'm just really fond of the look of Khador 'jacks, as well as the colors and the background.
Guys like Karchev and models like Behemoth sure helped to cement that, though. I like big machines and big guns!

It was the package. I saw lots of factions being played and loved the Khardic resolve. Felt like Spartan warriors on the battlefield. I typically saw one red model for every 3-5 the opponent had...it was a long time ago.

pVlad. Warmachine has a lot of appear as something of an avatar driven game and I'm a sucker for chivalry. There's actually very few caster models with that heroic, knight in shining armor look. It didn't hurt that the Khador jacks were generally my favorites as well.

Speaking of pVlad, his newly updated profile with the 360 is pretty surprising, particularly if you spin him all the way around.

Pretty much the Juggernaut for me. I was looking at the battle boxes, and thought Khador's jacks were the only ones that didn't look stupid. I was also attracted to the playstyle of "my stuff is still alive so I kill you now" as I was looking for something simple to get started.

    Karchev.

My friend and I were looking at the models available on the PP site waaaaay back in the day as a way to try and narrow down what faction we'd play, and I remember seeing Karchev and saying: "Holy hell, I can actually use that thing!? Sign me up!"

I think it was the Shocktroopers honestly (ironic because I only got them recently and I've been playing for 2 years). The Drakhun sealed the deal.

Pretty much all of them to be honest...all the Jacks that is for sure and the only infantry that Khador have that are "ugly" are the extremely effective Kayazy assassins...god they are just an ugly model in my opinion but awesome to play.

The model that first caught my attention was the Widdow Makers, The fluff picture of Zerkova in the book is what made me decide 100%, too bad her model isn't as cool, and her rules are worse.

I came from playing Blood Angels led by Mephiston for years into this hobby and saw the Butcher. Old familiar places.

When I started, the only thing out was the battle boxes, and I got the Khador one, the Cygnar one, and the Cryx one. Then Prime came out, and I saw the Butcher.... and that was it for me. Also Doomreavers helped.

I have been playing tabletop war gaming for almost 20 years now, and for me the female leader of the widowmakers is one of the best sculpts I've ever seen.

What sold Khador to me, was the Battlebox set. Those three models will always have a special place in my heart.

This made me LOL pretty hard.

Karchev for me, no doubt. I'm sensing a theme here...

Khador was at the time the only faction where I liked the majority of models in all categories (casters - jacks - units - solos) as well as what I perceived the general playstyle to be. But the models that sealed the deal were, in no particular order, the Old Witch, the Butchers, eVlad, Drago, the Decimator and the Widowmakers.

The Drakhun, the most awesome-looking model from PP ever in my opinion. That horse is HUGE.

I was the 4th of my friends to start playing Warmachine. They had chosen Cryx, Cygnar and Menoth and had the battleboxes, so the only thing we had rules for that no one else was using was Khador. Sooo glad it worked out that way! Favourite models:

    Drakhun
    Drago
    eIrusk

    Cheers,
    Dave
