Default With character restrictions who do you give Marketh?

Hey all, I've been diving into Skorne and have been pondering who should get Marketh with character restrictions?
I think Id like him with Xerxis for swapping fury, but Skorne locks have such low fury that I'd love the free spell with them all.

Question number two, with a 2 list steamroller who compliments Xerxis well?
Ive been thinking Hexeris2, but with Molik Karn free to be in the list, I like the idea of Makeda2 or Morghoul1.

Thanks ahead of time for sharing your knowledge.

For me its a tossup between Maekda1, Zaal, and Xerxis in the lists I run. My eHexy doesn;t need him so with that as one of my lists its fine for a two list event. With 3 it becomes much harder.

BTW, eHexy can also make very good use of Molik. It gives you the option of a Shaman arc node that can use Molik's animus to move back at the end of the turn.

Marketh's best use is upkeep cycling, so whichever warlock I'm bringing that benefits the most from that.

Of the casters that I've used a lot for tournaments I've found that the biggest ones that want marketh are xerxis, zaal, phexy, and pmakeda. I have the least experience with the last two but they each have some decent upkeeps that it's nice to get out. Usually though between xerxis and zaal I go zaal since marketh is in his tier, but if that wasn't a consideration I would probably go xerxis since he has a lower fury stat and late game it's always nice to camp some fury and have DW on xerxis for extra survivability.

For the casters I use Marketh goes with either Xerxis or Makeda1.

I really like Marketh with the casters mentioned already (Xerxis, Zaal, and pMakeda) but I also really like him with pMorghoul. Tossing out multiple abuses is awesome. I really only feel like I won't run pMakeda with out him tho, her spells are so awesome it is hard to not have him with her.

Depends on your goal right now I'm taking a xerxis list and a rasheth list to a tourney. Marketh is with rasheth. There are reasons why I am doing it this way and it works well.

This is a challenging question. Having our warlock attachment be a character presents a challenge.

    I always take him with Zaal / P Makeda / xerxis / E Morghoul / naaresh
    I want him with P Morghoul / P Hexy / E Hexy
I play without him with Rasheth (i can see benefits with him, i just never use the two together ) / Mordikaar / E makeda

I really would love to play both zaal / P makeda or Xerxis in Sr2012, but I feel any of those warlocks lose too much without him.
I have played them without him, and even done well, but I just feel the list suffer overall and I'm struggling at times, where I wouldnt need to with him in the lists.

I think they get some of the most use out of him. Makeda1 in particular is a night-and-day difference with Marketh. Being able to have up to three instances of Savagery bounced around the table in a single turn gives you unprecedented mobility, paying for upkeeps via souls (which you have plenty of in most Makeda1 lists, due to their synergy with her feat) and/or the Spell Slave cast can give her crucial fury during certain turns of the game (e.g. the difference between being able to safely cast Carnage and retain enough fury for transfers).

Xerxis is also notable, as he can leverage IG and his upkeeps, where normally he has to pick between upkeeps and IG. That said, I personally don't notice it as much as the difference between Makeda1 with and without Marketh. Maybe that's because I face a lot of Legion, with rampant Pathfinder and Flight .

I like using Marketh with Naaresh. It seems counter productive since Naaresh can upkeep by taking a point of damage, but its useful to let Iron Flesh expire so units can charge, then recast it with Marketh.
Other then that, I guess you can use Marketh to cast Bleed?

Zaal / Makeda 1 / Xerxis -- All want him.

Naaresh / Hexy 2 / Rasheth -- Could use him but does not need him.

Morghoul 1 / Makeda 2 -- Does not need him.

Mordikaar -- No idea I've never played him.

Personally I feel you can play anyone without him but some (like the top 3) benefit more than others.

For me, Xerxes get's the slight edge of Makeda1 because he has one less fury and IG is a great addition to the wall. I agree though with Jaradakar, and have tried Mordkaar with Marketh only to be disappointed as he does little to no good other than free upkeeps from the living models that die, which were quite few.
Any problem can be solved by throwing more Mammoths at it, both literally and figuratively
