Purple and gold color scheme?

So I posted these the other day on the painting forum but I'd like to get some druid feedback. What do you think of the Purple and gold? (first model I have painted).

Pretty good mate although the gold is a bit flat. Try using a few highlights around the face and armor (the areas that draw your eye), and some washes on the rest of the body. For the purple try a darker purple wash into the armor, it will create a gradient to the purple you have.

An especially easy way to paint fur is to paint it a mid tone, over brush a lighter tone and finally use a darker wash.
