    Default Expanding 2 Player box

    Good afternoon Khador players.

I am fairly new to the game and am actually a Cygnar player (don?t be a hater) so am completely out of my depth when it comes to the 'Northern Wolves'.

My brother was interested in starting and so I?ve managed to acquire him the Khador side of the Menoth Vs Khador box but I?m unsure how to expand this for him to be a little more fun to play.

I have seen suggestions previously to get rid of Sorscha to use the Butcher and then add in Kell Bailoch and some Widomakers but other than that I have no idea where to go.

I?m currently used to playing 35pt games with my Cyg and am looking for a nasty Khador list for my brother to be putting on the hurt and having some fun with the game.

He?s into Khador almost entirely due to the way they were described as "The Wolves of Khador" in the Cygnar book so if that helps with any suggestions?

In any case, he'll be up against Menoth and Cygnar predominantly so something that could do some serious hurting to those would be great.

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions and I look forward to opposing the outcome.

I really don’t know what they were thinking of with the two-player box. It’s BORING. Speed 4 all round? Feel the excitement!

I reckon epic Irusk is good to buff those Shockies – and make them more interesting. Speed boost, switching to extra damage in melee when you get there – much more wolf-like. He also does wonders to the Destroyer cannon – an upkeep that boosts attack, and ALL damage rolls, including blast. Then his bond makes the jugger un-knockdown-able, and actually a bit missable (DEF12), with enough focus to actually make the Jugger shine, and the ability to move himself and the jacks an extra 3”, which is golden for the slow, non-reaching Jugger (plus lets you reposition the Destro and still get the aiming bonus).

The other good thing about epic Irusk is that he’s brilliant for almost any Khador infantry you care to add, and wonderful for a new player: you can see through, and move through, your own guys, so positioning errors are smoothed out, and with toughness you’ll occasionally just luck your way out of a bad situation. It encourages and supports a hard hitting, mobile force of mixed-arms troops, and makes it all a lot more fun, IMO.

Yep, he likes Widowmakers, but also any Winterguard units, Kayazies, Iron Fangs – anything, really, as long as it’s Khador – so very forgiving of model choice. He can give Mechaniks 4 damage dice on the charge, fer crissake! That’s hilarious.

Erusk forever, is what I’m sayin’.

There is a virtually all of our casters can make the Battlebox work especially when you are expanding it. pIrusk has a strong spell list to improve both your jacks and your infantry. Butchers and Karchev tier like MoW and jacks as well. pVlad and eVlad can also work. Spend some time looking them all over and pick the one that you think matches best up with the play style that you are looking for.

Widowmakers and wardog are my first two recommendations for your starter list. While they aren't in all of my lists, they can work with all of my casters.

I would stay away from a second juggernaut until you have picked you new caster as not all of them will take a second jack and those that do

Winterguard are a solid choice for you mainline unit make sure to pick Kovik Joe, the UA, and the rocketeers up with them. They will allow them to be self sufficient enough to enable them to operate regardless of your caster choice.

If you’re willing to remove models from your current list and want to expand your wolves of the north feel get manhunters and yuri or convert wolves of orboros with some shields and make them IFP. All of these models work with the majority of our casters as well.

    Thanks for the assist man.

Im thinking i might go with the Winter Guard with UA (spray!!!) and Kovnik Joe. Then perhaps pVlad as some of his spells work insanely well with kovjoe and the winter guard. Keep the Man-O-Wars and the Destroyer but im thinking ill add in a manhunter and keep the MOW unit...

Picked up a copy of the Khador book yesterday so ive been playing around with a few ideas.

Its kinda sad that im designing this list for my brother almost speciffically to take me out...

What would be a good way to counter eCaine though? Im finding it hard to stop the gatecrasher port and gun move and i wanna be able to go all out on him but still have a great close game.
