    Default Feeling Salty: Struggling With a Complementing Mohsar's Weaknesses

    Let me start off by saying that I am a Legion player who is dipping his toe in Circle because I recently came into them and they are patently different than Legion. (Not willing to go to the mat on that claim, it's not the point of the post)

    I am currently playing a Mohsar list that I am currently rampaging around my LGS with but I am running into a problem. I have no idea how to complement Mohsar's weaknesses with a second list in a SR environment.

    I feel like my list handles infantry well enough and beats heavies like they owe it money, but I struggle against accurate, high pow guns (Siege) and ranged that ignores stealth. (Siege, Gun Mages, Legion)

    So I figured I'd try and pull from the collective pool of wisdom that is the Circle forum to ask: How do you complement Mohsar with a second list?

    Here is the current incarnation of my Mohsar list. I will spare you the 1500 word justification of every model. Suffice to say it has worked remarkably well thus far.

    Mohsar the Desertwalker (*5pts)
    * Gorax (4pts)
    * Warpwolf Stalker (10pts)
    * Warpwolf Stalker (10pts)
    * Woldwarden (9pts)
    Shifting Stones (2pts)
    * Stone keeper (1pts)
    Shifting Stones (2pts)
    Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew (Leader and 1 Grunt) (1pts)
    Tharn Bloodtrackers (Leader and 5 Grunts) (5pts)
    * Nuala the Huntress (2pts)
    Druid Wilder (2pts)
    Gallows Grove (1pts)
    Gallows Grove (1pts)
    Gallows Grove (1pts)
    Lord of the Feast (4pts)

    Ghetorix and Megalith are both available for other lists as Mohsar doesn't seem to make overwhelmingly good use of either. I am finding that I need an answer to spell immune hard targets (I can't get CoS onto) and as I said, high pow, accurate guns. I would really like to avoid Baldur2 if I can, but I feel like it's quickly becoming less and less of an option.

    Thanks in advance guys.

    Well I am brand new to warmahordes so take my advise with a grain of salt haha

    I think eKaya could be a good compliment. I plan to eventually get her and Mohsar as my caster combo in the future. She runs beast heavy and can give her whole battle group stealth on an upkeep spell. Add in some druids and you can also avoid getting hit by spells and clouds block LoS as well. She doesn't really bring offensive magic damage to the table so spell immune targets won't really be benefiting your opponent. I think she will fill your stated holes pretty well. Check out her tier 4 theme as it's a good one.

    As far as I can see you have a few choices.

    EKaya - as mentioned above her tier list is pretty good against shooty lists. Even siege with the B13th can only get 2 heavies on his feat turn. Run hell for leather straight into his army and over load it. I take a 4 heavy beast tier 4 list and shooty Cygnar struggles with it. Another bonus is that it rips through high armour with ease (forced evolutioned, primaled Feral will 1 shot the Avatar if you can deliver it).

    Skillet's Morv list - its designed to be anti infantry - 2 woldguardians for heavies and endless bloodtrackers. I play Morv differently (with warpwolves), but i'm told by my mate whos tried it that it does what it sets out to do. The problem there is that both lists want Nuala, its why I don't pair Morv and Mohsar.

    EBaldur - tank them. A mix of Heavies and wolds, some heavy infantry.

    EKruger - stormwall, druid clouds, a WoldGuardian to stop assassination attempts. But would have some of the problems your having against sepll immune heavies (the Avatar)

    Units - try some bogtrogs for ambushing fun. Go for those gun mages. Also - wolf rider cav are good as they are so fast. Combined with a fast Army you can get into your opponent in turn 2. And in a non-ECaine list - the gunmages are rubbish in melee.

    swap out one wwstalker with a pure blood, and give it to the second list, Use morvahna on feet turn you can place a lot of forest from his tarpit and sprint behind to for protection this can complement the PoS's, regrowthed wolf riders and Morriag. .02$
    Recently I've been playing with the idea of multi-woldwatchers side by side moving up then rock stance. medium and small bases can hide behind a moving wall and if they do get hit the watcher can step in and take it for them. haven't tried it but it sounds fun and could seriously reduce firelanes even after the pos is gone. and I have a pesonal weakness for the woldguardian love the guy to much to benchhim.

    Decided to change my Baldur2 list and give it another whirl. I keep finding that he covers the overwhelming holes of Mohsar's list. Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it.
