wow, somehow this posted twice -_-; sorry everyone!
I put actual chains on his gun, used wire pins to make the anchor points removable from the shoulder, and used a Revoltech Joint for the wrist so I could attach and detach the Rocinante parts. This isn't really all necessary, though; you should be able to do the same with the stock chain parts and pinning or magnets.

On the subject of Rocinante, is his kit supposed to have two different chain bits or am I supposed to reshape one of them to fit on the front of the figure?
Mine came with two subtly-different chain pieces; one was ever-so-slightly longer. Maybe by one chain link. I had to do some trimming to get the gun anchor points to fit into their slots.

I just assembled my Rocinante last night and it felt like they are actually made for specific sides. One of the gun points I think is slightly smaller than the other. I don't remember at this point which is which, but they fit in just right for me. A little bending to get the connections to the shoulder to fit properly, but otherwise, no complaints here.
Sounds like I've got a mispack then. The two chains I have are absolutely identical and are shaped to connect with the back. Neither comes close to fitting in the front, to the point where I'd have to cut off a large piece of the anchor point with molded rivets to make it fit. Just wanted to be sure the part wasn't reused on purpose.
