Does this look right to you? (osl) WIP

So its my first go around with OSL. I thought I'd do it on a cool model and make is spellstorm pistols glow with arcane energy in all the Gun Mage Style. However it looks like this guy punched a smurf or something. It doesn't look "lighted." What am I missing? Tips, tricks, tactics? Note: this is a WIP, the guns are not done, nor is the OSL on the metal.

light should not be that strong on his forearms, The light is merely gleaming over the arms, not directly shining upon it.

also from what I can tell, it needs much more blending, right now it's just blue paint rather than a glow.

I updated the pic and added one. I think you're right though. With the updated pic, same story?

Btw. I am using Handcannon's tutorial, however it's a read through and I only think I'm following it correctly.
