The choice is made: Legion

Hey guys, I posted a thread about what faction to choose for a Journeyman Tourney, and I settled with Legion. The probel is that, we each get a battlebox, and througout the whole tourney, we have to include the contents in each box (except the caster whom we can switch later on). So what caster should I go once I get there? I was thinking eThags maybe...

if the tournament is goign to stay at so low a point cost. Pthags is a fantastic option. you switch to him and you basically add another carni to the list. which can be unbeatable at <20 point games. plus having some shredders and a carny works rather well with him. +2 str on himself or carny, casting spiny for free, grant concealment vs the shooting lists, obliterate for softening people up. and death shroud to make your army tanky.... he is very very solid.

ethags is a fine choice, but he is goign to be much more focused on getting his dragonstorm assination attempt, and if it fails he is left out rather cold. love the big guy, but he works much much better at higher points when you can have more beasts. he feat is a force multiplyer, and more guys = better feat. pthags is much more focused on getting strittion in a small game to work.

The max points that will go up to 35pts, so would pThags still be good then or switch to epic?

Just a bit tricky with so many Shredders

I would pick pThags. A large based warcaster can more be difficult than you might expect.

P-Thags all the way, great learning warlock (should be the battle boxer in my opinion), works with a lot of things, durable and thus new player friendly, and his feat is better in low games (honestly, near game breakingly so).

In my Journeyman I went with Saeryn, her feat is simply amazing with the battlebox. Blight bringer is awesome, and breath stealer can be deadly at times. Especially against Cryx when they're trying to take away your alpha strike by using their own.

Yea, Saeryn is really nice. The big thing for me is trying to get a decent force that contains 4 Shredders, seeing as you can't switch battlebox products (except for the casters)

pThag is very tempting, would he run well with 4 Shredders though?

I just started playing LoE as well I've been running Absylonia with my battlebox and a Forsaken and so far I'm loving it. Her feat is awesome for a new player, especially on assassination runs.
