    Default Troll project log.

So I'm having a contest with some friends back in my home town. Theres a bunch of us who all started Trolls at the same time. So to avoid primer wars we are putting out one Model/unit a week and our local forum will be voting on the best.

I figured it would be a good way to start a project log on these forums. My first model is the Earthborn Dire Troll, I think I'm going to smooth out the skin but it looks pretty good right now.

My next model I think is going to be eMadrak or Fennblades, haven't decided yet.

I like the little tufts of flock on the model. It works! My only criticism is that the skin looks a little grainy - perhaps too much dry brushing, or not enough colors used to go from dark to light. Overall, I'd leave it alone though and keep pushing forwards.

Yes, I *am* tired of painting blue... why do you ask?

Yeah thats one of the things I love about taking pictures of the models. The grainy look isn't as bad in person but I do want to fix it. Just going to do lite touch ups though nothing too big. Started eMadrak and the Tartan is giving me fits, it could be the colours, but I'm using my family tartan so I'm kinda stuck on that part.

Wow great job, I can picture this guy being buried in the earth (hence the moss and rock) and then suddenly spring to life as his target/prey comes by

I like the flock idea but it seems a bit bright to me. There are other products that are a just a bit more natural looking that I think would serve you better. I think they're made by army painter...?

Great idea, good looking mini, just a suggestion that might help the overall look.

I know I've already said this on the local forum, but it looks pretty ace. I'm glad all of you guys realized where its at and followed my lead. =P

I haven't thought of putting flock on my models, but its a really cool idea that really adds another dimension. Again, great job!
If you need help with the tartan, don't be a stranger!

Also, did you check out my eMulg before you left town?

I'm not sure if it was finished or not.
