Default MOW Demo Corp (Test model)

I have always loved how the MOW looked but I could never justify buying them because they are not really that good but now I just don't care I'll find a way to make them work (not too bad with evlad). Before I went and painted my whole demo corp I first painted a complete model to test the scheme I was going for. I have to say I am extremely happy with how it turned out. I used my airbrush for most of the model as I wanted to get better at using it, I normally did highlighting and shading with a brush. I also attempted using oil washes for the first time and I am sold on them. Easy to do and the finish product looks much better IMO. Also created some of my own weathering pigments using pastels.

    Here it is

Here is the tutorial I used for the oil washes. I also frequent Awesomepaintjobs.

Yeah just dab the shoulder number and that will help blend it a bit more, but otherwise looks good.

I like it, it is a very neat, clean and crisp paint job, and I am especially fond of the blue glow on the hammer and visor. Also, I don't think I've ever seen a Khador model in that colour scheme before, so you will have unique on your side.

Looks great. Did you use a stencil for the numbers?

Thanks everyone for the comments. I do think that the shoulder pad with the number is lacking in some additional battle damage. I am very happy with how the OSL turned out. I was so worried that it would ruin everything as it is the last step in the painting.

Yup I drew the number out on some painters masking tape and then cut it out and stick it on. The one I use is very low adhesive so it doesn't stick very well but also dose not lift the paint off the model. I think it looks good and it helps me keep track of my demo corps

Yes I did use the airbrush to do the OSL. I also used a brush just to highlight some edges.

I've got to add that the shoulder number is a great idea - it looks cool AND has practical merit.

Thanks just to let people know this is the tutorial I used to get the OSL effect

I am glad other people like the number. I didn't really know what else to do with that big empty space.

Currently batch painting the rest of the MOW and I would say I am bout 25-30% done so far.
