pretty self explanatory really what is you favourite character jack in cygnars arsenal and your reasons why be it fluff, amazing rules, the looks, usefulness etc
id have to say the thunderhead mainly because i love my advanced tech and this guy just screams adavanced whats not too love about a jack powered by electricty and sending out electricity to fry the enemy the artwork aswell is also among the reasons i took up cygnar too

Ol' Rowdy is my favourite in terms of fluff and i really like his utility in-game.
In terms of looks, Thunderhead takes the cake. And he's my favourite character jack to play with but i don't field him nearly as much as Rowdy.

I love the Thunderhead for it's looks, it's style and its concept and I am also really fond of Thorn as it manages to be so much more than a simple arc node. On balance though, grumpy Ol' Rowdy is probably my outright favourite because he gets the job done and he does it so very reliably compared to almost anything else we have access to.

Old Rowdy. Counter charge on a heavy is just nasty, throw in high MAT, high ARM and a really pissed off Ironclad, and you have one hell of a jack.

Realistically we only have 3 character warjacks worthy of the name. Ol' Rowdy, Thorn and Gallant. Thunderhead is just part of a ridiculously limited production run. It has no special interactions or abilities brought out by a specific warcaster. And Triumph is just crap.

As to my favorite it has to be Rowdy. His art and history are the best, even if his model is a bit lacking.

    Looks: Thunderhead
    Utility/fluff: Ol' Rowdy
Caster affinity/buffs: Ol' Rowdy, Gallant, Thorn

If I can only use one, I'll take Ol' Rowdy..

Nemo and Thunderhead got me into this game, but Ol' Rowdy not only IS a character jack, he actually HAS character!

Ol'Rowdy is one of the best CHARACTER jacks in the game...........................(I would add Drago as number 2 or tied with Rowdy)

Ol' Rowdy is the overall champ for me. He's cool looking and he kicks butt in game. I would add though that the Thunderhead is my favorite jack model in the game. And honestly, I don't think any of them are bad. I think Triumph has his applications albeit he's the most limited of the batch.

I just wished Cygnar had a Behemoth/Deathjack type character jack - you know, get 2 free focus to spend on a sub-cortex or to cast spells... I was hoping the Gallant would do that but no cigar..

I'm not going to mention my favorite character jack due to the utter and almost complete hate spewage that will ensue...but then you can probably guess which one. Don't hate me.

You play Sloan tho, right? I haven't played Triumph with her yet, but I've considered it.

wish I could say Gallant, because I play him more than any other character jack. However, Ol' Rowdy is a champ among bosses. I wish he didn't roll so many snake eyes on charges for me tho.

Rowdy was... until I charged deathjack fully loaded. DJ had that +2 armor pick column spell on him but we're talking dice - 3. I hit every single attack. Yes sir... that's 5 attacks with the free charge with all but the one fist attack being dice - 3 for damage.

    I did a total of 3 damage.

But yea... anyway I don't own Thunderhead or Thorn so really though Rowdy just beats out poor Gallant though he is quite cool looking.

@Merlin - Yeah, I love Triumph with Sloan. In my opinion, it should be her jack, not Siege's He also works really nicely with pCaine. Not, mind you, that that hasn't stopped you and an eStryker army + Rowdy from mopping the floor with them a couple times

    My custom triumph:

Wow. I may not be a fan of Triumph, but that conversion rocks Ingusmat. I recognize everything but the ammo hopper. Scratch built or from something?

Since I built it from a metal ironclad, I had to figure out the whole gun, so everything (gun, magazine, pistons, etc) that isn't ironclad hammer is GF9 plasticard and plastic tubing. The sunbursts, stars, and the venting wrapped around the barrel are all from a GW basing kit. Glad you like it!

Didn't mean to threadjack, but my boy Triumph needs all the love he can get in threads like this

Using a Quake Hammer as a gun part is really clever! I never would've thought of that. Love how you made it more interesting while keeping it legal. I want to like Triumph because I always wanted a Character Defender, but 11 points is too many. Give it RoF 2 and Parry and it'd be worth it.

I have to say Thunderhead is my favorite with Ol' Rowdy being a close second.

Thorn and Gallant are my secondary gotos if I want to be consistent in theme lists.

Now that you say that I had a defender a long ways back in the old Iorn Kingdoms rpg that had rof 2. His name is Point Break and yes he kept his hammer.

Ol' Rowdy is hands down my favorite, with Thunderhead a distant second (due to cost mostly). I have played and like all the Cygnar character jacks, but Rowdy just has almost everything you'd want in a jack. His natural armor and buckler, combined with DEF12 makes him quite tough to kill. Counter charge makes your opponent think about every model he moves.

I'm a huge fan of the Thunderhead. It has some problems to be sure (such as a bevy of crit effects on auto-hitting attacks, or its high point cost and mediocre melee potential) but that pulse always, always makes me happy. I've only ever once failed to get a caster assassination via the T-Man whenever I've fielded him.

Despite the Thunderhead being my favorite, I'd vote Ol'Rowdy being our best character for his points and abilities.

I think I like Rowdy the best. It's a really cool looking Ironclad and actually acts like a melee heavy. I like what the Thunderhead represents and it's definately my second favorite.

In terms of storyline - Ol' Rowdy, hands down. You CARRY your warcaster back to camp when he's knocked out. And you defend him against an attacking guy. Who else would do that?
In terms of design - Thunderhead. Has anyone tried to turn that hand upwards?
Game functionality - Thunderhead and Thorn. Thunderhead has killed warcasters, after chasing them around the field (had to chase poor pSkarre down). Combat channeling is fantastic, though with only one caster.
Triumph and Gallant...haven't played enough games with them to say much.

The Thunderhead was one of the models that got me into Warmachine and Cygnar. Of the character jacks though my favorite is Ol' Rowdy. His fluff is amazing and he has a nice kit as a model.

I mostly use Thorn, as I play haley often.
But I also like de rest of them, I find triumph the least intresting for me.
I have never found a use for him personally, but he'll probably be usefull for Siege & Sloan lists.
(I don't play them very often)
