Default Question about Carnivore, Spirit Eater and Reaving

I played a game yesterday where Absylonia took out a Titan Gladiator while she had Carnivore. At the time I had reaved the Fury off of the Gladiator, though after rereading both Carnivore and Spirit Eater I'm not so sure I did that correctly. After thinking about it some more it brought up a few more questions regarding Reaving in general. So, I'd like to clarify the following:

    • As Spirit Eater triggers on destroyed and Carnivore on boxed, Carnivore would negate Spirit Eater correct?
    • Since the exact wording for Reaving Fury indicates "when a warbeast ... is destroyed," would this mean Carnivore prevents enemy casters from Reaving?
    • Does this mean that when a warbeast is removed from play on disabled or boxed, its controller cannot reave its fury?

    Thanks for your help!

And here I thought you could always reave fury off of a dying warbeast, thanks for clarifying that.

I would guess "removed from play" would prevent you from reaving.

I just read my Abby's card...

so basically, the controller of the Titan would not be able to reave fury because:

    a) Titan Gladiator was destroyed by Abby's Blight Claw (which has Spirit Eater) - Abby then can claim the Fury on the beast.

    b) the living Titan Gladiator was boxed by a Carnivore fueled Abby. Titan is removed from play. Basing on how souls are collected, a model removed from play do not provide soul tokens (citation please) so I would think the same goes for fury points.

    c) Reading the rules on Reaving, it says the controller can only reave from a warbest destroyed by an enemy attack. so if we are strict on the wording, then the controller cannot reave the fury.

Reaving happens in the "destroyed" step of the timing sequence.

If the model leaves play before this step (e.g., gets removed from play at the "boxed" step), there is no model from which you could reave.

EDIT: Do be strict on wording, that's how this game works. Rules do what rules say.

Seems well answered. As well as no fury, RFP also bars a number of other things (collection souls/corpse/rage) and prevents reviving from most spells and feats.
