I-Con is back for another year at a new location in downtown Springfield. September 7-9 at the Mansion View Hotel, 517 South 4th Street. Entry is $15.00 for the weekend if you pre-register and the con has gotten a $59.00 convention rate at the hotel. All events are included in registration. Registration form can be located at

Friday
Warmachine colossals book release event- 3:00-10:00PM. Running at 35pts to maximize games. Coin for overall winner and for best in each faction. This will be a Warmachine only event. Rules at...

2 Caster Mangled Metal Tooth & Claw- 5:00PM. Bring 2 Warcasters/Warlocks and their respective battlegroups and throw down! Steamroller coins for 1st-3rd place.

Saturday
50pt Steamroller- 9:00AM. 50pt steamroller 2012, Divide and Conquer. Steamroller trophies as prizes.

15pt 4x1- 8:00PM. Bring a 15pt list with 1 Caster/Warlock, 1 beast/jack, 1 unit(can include attachments), and 1 solo. Steamroller coins for 1st-3rd place.

Sunday
35pt Theme force Steamroller-9:00AM. 35pt Steamroller 2012, tier 2 Theme Force required. Steamroller coins for 1st-3rd place.

Hey there! Some of us from Bloomington will again be making the trip down. Probably 3-4 of us along with some new players potentially.

We're shooting for Friday/Saturday currently.

I have to ask, is the venue's hotel a decent location to stay over at? We've usually stayed out at the Baymont Inn a little bit south of Springfield off of I-55.

I have not stayed there myself (less than 5 min away ) but from looking at the website plus the price it should be worth it. Another plus is that you will be in walking distance of multiple local restaurants and downtown bars. Neighborhood is fine since it is literally right across the street from the Governor's mansion.
