Epic Heartbreak.

Just in case anyone happens to run across something in trade...

Missing: One Motorpool Transport Bag. Swiped at some point between 10pm July 3rd to 3pm July 5th, out of my car. Contents: about 75% of the entire Troll army for Hordes. All of my painted models including cavalry, champions, all faction support models, Borka (my profile pic) eMadrak, Mulg, Mauler, Earthborn, Slag, and a gorgeous swamp troll. Unpainted: every other heavy beast, several other casters, and a Mauler Extreme. All my dice and equipment, cards. And three years worth of at least a couple dozen faction coins and league medals, and at least that many steamroller coins from ROFLstomps and hard-won victories all across the country.

Possibly a piece of my soul. I think it looked a bit like

I'm not quitting the faction, as I still have all of the rest of the troops and a few casters... but it's gonna take a short while to get my heart back into it, I think. Trolls regenerate. We take back the land. We don't quit. Now I must rest and gather my rage, so that one day soon I may strike back even harder than before. For the Kriels!

Super sorry to hear about your loss bud. I suffered the loss of 2500 points of classic 3rd-4th edition era full metal Necrons out of the back seat of my car. The worse part for me was knowing the thieves probably had no idea what they had just acquired and probably just junked all my love and years of collecting and painting. But the robots made there 'we'll be back' save in my heart and I have a small force of plastic greycrons waiting to be painted behind all my shiny trollbloods.
My advice for you is to enjoy and remember the food time you had with all of your lost toy soldiers and embrace the opportunity to flex some painting skills to make an even better Trollblood Kriel. Remember with enough whelp snacks and regen rolls trolls can come back from even the biggest loss. Madrak wouldn't give up and neither should you.
On a more practical note keep your eye on local craigslist and ebay. It might be a good idea to put the word out at local any local game shops and print up some pics of the painted minis. its hard to say that someone decided to paint the same scheme as you as it is a unique non studio scheme should be easy to recognize. also did you make sure to fill out a police report? They may give you funny looks when you explain just how much your minis cost but they might actually try when they realize how much the stolen goods are worth. your car insurance may cover theft depending on the policy might be worth looking into.
Once more I feel your pain stay strong and stick with it don't let the dirty jerkwads get you down... I hope jerkwads is acceptable language for this forum if not I plead mod forgiveness the situation called for it.

Totally heinous crime. I've been a victim of theft my entire life, every place I've ever called home has been robbed, the sting of violation can be tough to endure. And I hesitate to say this, but remember it is just stuff, and stuff can always (sometimes painstakingly) be replaced.

Thanks for the support, guys. I do appreciate it. I have everything else in the army still that's not on that (massive, soul-crushing) list, so I'll be back. I just wanted to post so if any of it showed up, by Troll brethren might see it. And yeah, I know several of you have seen them, so they're pretty recognizable. Nobody else has green trolls on coal blue tuffalo. Or the ever badass green borka with blue mane. Or my green-tinted albino eMadrak with a unique tan/bronze armor, ancient rusty Rathrok and black/gold/red tartan... dark angry mulg, slimy froggy swamp troll. AARRRRRRGGGHHHHH (ok I'm better now). I'll be doing more jack sculpting for my Ret for a little bit, but will be planning my triumphant and bloody return to competition with my kriels very soon.

My friends cryx army was recently stolen. It was in a battle foam bag, they broke the back window and took it. Prolly thought it was a laptop or something. Fortunately his renters insurance helped out.

But the big help was that our LGS stepped up and sold him back everything he had owned AT COST. Took a couple weeks for all the models to trickle in, but eventually he got his army back.

Maybe there is a store who reads the forum who help replenish your army at cost, would be good press and they don't loose anything but their time.

Indeed. My Cryx collection was stolen from my truck 2 years ago. And they did not know what they got. Some of it turned up later and was recovered. So maybe there is hope for yours as well. If I can make any troll go your way let me know what you need. 2 of my locals are going to top deck so I can send models with them.
