    Default My first painted figures

So I finally got my Cygnar battle box all painted. Stryker was the first model I did with just the Cygnar Paint Box, so I think he kinda looks crappy, I just seem to have 0 motivation to fix him up though since I wanna replace him with his other sculpt anyway. I like how the rest of them turned out. I also have Ryan from my Black 13th painted, but I'm still finishing Watts and Lynch.

    Comments appreciated.

Just a preview here, all the pics are on imgur cause its so much easier to host them there and the full resolutions are HUGE.

some light brown wash would really improve the mini a lot, just my opinion. But very good start.

They might look really cool, but no picts no clicks. Just insert at least one picture here to help people decide whether clicking on the link is worth it. Thanks.

Since tapping my index finger one more time isn't difficult, I looked sans pics. I agree with Wankel, especially on the yellowish/cream of Stryker, then clean the highlights back up. It will add depth and pop, great start.

Not that it's usually the case, but there's a reason why some forums have a "no pics, no clicks" policy. Personally, I like to see what I'm clicking on.
Sure, it doesn't take much time to click - and not much more time than that to actually post an image. I don't want to sound critical, but I can see where Mordjinn's coming from.

good models, Nice crisp lines between armor plates, etc. Great easy color scheme! Enjoy playing with awesome painted models!

Painted models play better. (Unless it's Kell who's a mix of greens and browns so in our forrest terrain, he gets forgotten for 1-2 turns since he blends in so well. He actually gets stealth).

Hey guys I didn't post them directly to here because I took them with my friends camera on some absurd resolution setting and when I inserted it into my post the picture was HUGE. I'll figure out how to re-size them and put them here, though really its an imgur link, not much reason to be squeamish on that one, IMHO.

Thanks! For your first models they look really good! You've got the basics of shading and highlighting down - when you are ready to try blending and washes, even more detail will pop out on these models! You could also pick out some of the finer details like rivets with a metallic color or something that stands out.

Nice work, they must look awesome on the table. I would probably add a devlan mud or black wash to them to bring out the 3D a bit more.

Sorry also if I sounded harsh in my previous post. I'm more than happy to see more of what I like, but clicking on unknown links is a bit of gamble sometimes.

Look good. Very nice start... the only thing I dislike is the names on the bases. I dunno why, but that bugs me - so its personal preference.
